Chapter 187·The promise from the sky·Verses 1–दोहा 187
तुम्हहि लागि धरिहउँ नर बेसा
The voice from the sky tells the sages, siddhas and gods not to fear. For their sake the Lord will take a human form and be born with his portions in the noble line of the sun. Kaśyapa and Aditi, to whom he once gave a boon, are now King Daśaratha and Kausalyā in Ayodhyā, and he will be born in their house as four brothers. He will make Nārada's words come true, come with his supreme power, and take away the Earth's burden. The gods return with cooled hearts and Brahmā comforts the Earth. Then Brahmā goes to his own world after telling the gods to take monkey bodies and go serve Hari.आकाशवाणी मुनियों, सिद्धों और देवताओं से कहती है कि डरो मत; तुम्हारे लिए मैं नर का रूप धरूँगा और अपने अंशों सहित सूर्यवंश में अवतार लूँगा। कश्यप और अदिति ने महातप किया था और मैंने उन्हें वर दिया था; वे ही अब अयोध्या में राजा दशरथ और कौसल्या हैं। उनके घर मैं रघुकुल के तिलक चार भाइयों के रूप में जन्म लूँगा, नारद के वचन सत्य करूँगा, अपनी परम शक्ति सहित अवतार लूँगा और पृथ्वी का भार हर लूँगा। देवताओं के हृदय ठंडे हुए और वे लौट गए; ब्रह्मा ने पृथ्वी को समझाया। फिर ब्रह्मा अपने लोक गए, देवताओं को सिखाकर कि वानर का शरीर धरकर पृथ्वी पर जाओ और हरि के चरणों की सेवा करो।

'हे मुनियो, सिद्धो और देवताओं के स्वामियो, डरो मत। तुम्हारे लिए मैं मनुष्य का वेश धारण करूँगा। अपने अंशों सहित मैं सूर्यवंश में, जो उदार वंश है, मनुष्य रूप में अवतार लूँगा।
'Do not be afraid, sages, siddhas and lords of the gods. For your sake I will take a human form. With my portions I will be born as a man in the noble line of the sun.

Kaśyapa and Aditi did great austerity, and to them I gave a boon long ago. They have appeared as the human king and queen Daśaratha and Kausalyā in the city of Kosala.

३3तिन्ह के गृह अवतरिहउँ जाई। रघुकुल तिलक सो चारिउ भाई ॥नारद बचन सत्य सब करिहउँ। परम सक्ति समेत अवतरिहउँ ॥

उनके घर जाकर मैं रघुकुल के तिलक चार भाइयों के रूप में जन्म लूँगा। मैं नारद के सब वचन सत्य करूँगा और अपनी परम शक्ति सहित अवतार लूँगा।
In their house I will go and be born as four brothers, the crown of the Raghu line. I will make all Nārada's words come true, and be born together with my supreme power.

४4हरिहउँ सकल भूमि गरुआई। निर्भय होहु देव समुदाई ॥गगन ब्रह्मबानी सुनी काना। तुरत फिरे सुर हृदय जुड़ाना ॥

मैं पृथ्वी का सारा भार हर लूँगा। हे देवताओ, निर्भय हो जाओ।' आकाश में ब्रह्मवाणी को कानों से सुनकर देवता तुरंत लौट गए, उनके हृदय शीतल हो गए।
I will take away all the Earth's burden. Be fearless, assembly of gods.' The gods heard this voice of Brahman from the sky with their own ears, and at once turned back, their hearts cooled.

ब्रह्मा देवताओं को यही सिखाकर अपने लोक चले गए: 'पृथ्वी पर वानरों के शरीर धर-धरकर जाओ और हरि के चरणों की सेवा करो।'
Brahmā went to his own world after teaching the gods this: 'Take monkey bodies, each one of you, on the earth, and go serve Hari's feet.'
