Chapter 166·A secret and its risk·Verses 1–
'That is why I forbid you, king: telling this story will bring great harm to you. If this tale reaches a sixth ear, your ruin follows; my words are true. Either through this, or through a brahmin's curse, you will be destroyed, Bhānupratāpa; there is no other way you die, even if Hari and Hara are angry in their minds.' The king, holding his feet, said, 'True, Lord. Who can guard against the anger of brahmins or a guru? If Brahmā is angry, the guru protects; but no one in the world can save one who has opposed the guru. If we do not walk by your word, let ruin come, I do not mind. One fear alone makes my heart tremble, Lord: the terrible curse of brahmins. Tell me, kindly, how brahmins can be brought under control. I see no friend of mine but you, merciful to the poor.''
