The ascetic said, 'So be it, king. But one hard reason, listen: Death too will bow his head to your feet, except for one brahmin family. Brahmins are always strong by the power of austerity, and no one can guard against their anger. If you win over the brahmins, king, then Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Maheśa will be under your control. Force does not work against the brahmin family. I say it truly, raising both arms: without a brahmin's curse, king, you will not be destroyed at any time.' Hearing his words the king rejoiced: 'Lord, now I will not be destroyed. By your grace, Lord, merciful, all time is good for me.'
