Chapter Thirteen·The road made by the sages·Verses 1–
Everyone knows the Lord's greatness, yet no one can help speaking of it, because the Vedas have set the power of worship as a reason. The one Lord is without desire, form or name, unborn, truth-knowledge-bliss, the highest home, all-pervading, the form of the world. He took a body and did many deeds, only for the sake of his devotees: very kind, loving to those who bow. The Lord of the Raghus is simple, strong, and a friend of the poor who gives back what is lost. Knowing this, the wise tell Hari's fame and make their speech clean and fruitful. By that strength the poet will sing Rāma's virtues, bowing at his feet. The sages sang Hari's fame first, and walking their road is easy for him. In the dohā: if a king builds a bridge over a vast river, even the smallest ant can climb it and cross without toil.

Everyone knows that greatness of the Lord, yet no one can keep from telling it. The Vedas have kept this as a reason, and have spoken in many ways of the power of worship.

All of that is only for the good of his devotees. He is very kind and loves those who bow to him. He has great love and care for his servant, and in his mercy he was never angry with any.
