Seeing a creature die at Kāśī, I free it from sorrow by the strength of whose name? He is my Lord, master of moving and still, Raghubara, the knower of every heart. Even helplessly, men who say his name burn up the sins of many births. Those who remember him with respect cross the ocean of birth as if it were a cow's hoofprint. Bhavānī, that Rāma is the Supreme Soul; your words about him are most improper. Doubts like this, in the mind, drive away knowledge, dispassion and every virtue. Hearing Śiva's words that break confusion, all the weaving of wrong argument was gone. Love and faith in Raghupati's feet were born, and the dreadful impossible thoughts were over. Again and again holding the lotus feet of her Lord, folding her lotus hands, Girijā spoke excellent words, as if soaked in the juice of love.शिव कहते हैं कि काशी में मरते जीव को वे जिसके नाम के बल से शोक-रहित करते हैं, वही उनके प्रभु रघुवर हैं, चर-अचर के स्वामी और सबके अन्तर्यामी। जिनका नाम बिना चाहे भी लेने से अनेक जन्मों के पाप जल जाते हैं, और जो आदर से स्मरण करते हैं वे भवसागर को गोखुर की तरह पार करते हैं। हे भवानी, राम परमात्मा हैं; उनके विषय में तुम्हारी वाणी अनुचित थी; ऐसा संशय ज्ञान, वैराग्य और सब गुणों को दूर कर देता है। शिव के भ्रम-भंजन वचन सुनकर पार्वती का कुतर्क मिट गया और रघुपति के चरणों में प्रीति-विश्वास हुआ। बार-बार चरण पकड़कर वे प्रेम-रस में सने उत्तम वचन बोलीं।

अनायास भी जिनका नाम मनुष्य कहें, तो अनेक जन्मों में रचे पाप जल जाते हैं। जो आदर से उनका स्मरण करते हैं, वे संसार-सागर को गाय के खुर के गड्ढे की तरह पार कर जाते हैं।

शिव के भ्रम तोड़ने वाले वचन सुनकर कुतर्क की सारी रचना मिट गई। रघुपति के चरणों में प्रीति और विश्वास उत्पन्न हुआ और भयंकर असम्भावना दूर हो गई।

बार-बार प्रभु के चरण-कमल पकड़कर और अपने कमल जैसे हाथ जोड़कर गिरिजा ने ऐसे उत्तम वचन कहे, मानो प्रेम-रस में सने हों।
