मण्डप में शिव-पार्वती
He called all the gods with respect and gave each a proper seat. The altar was prepared by the Vedic rules, and the women sang auspicious songs. A divine throne, lovely beyond words, was made by Brahmā. Śiva bowed to the brahmins and sat on it, remembering in his heart his Lord Raghurāī. Then the sages called Umā, and her friends brought her in, adorned. Seeing her form all the gods were enchanted; what poet in the world can describe such beauty? Knowing her as the Mother of the world, the gods bowed to her in their minds. The beauty of Bhavānī, the limit of loveliness, cannot be told by millions of mouths. Not in millions of mouths can the beauty of the Mother of the world be told; even the Vedas and Śeṣa and Śāradā shrink to say it, so how can dull-minded Tulasī? The mine of beauty, Mother Bhavānī, walked to the middle of the pavilion where Śiva was; for shyness she could not look at him, but her mind, a bee, was at her husband's lotus feet. By the sages' order Śambhu and Bhavānī worshipped Gaṇapati. Let no one doubt it when they hear this; know in your heart that the gods are beginningless.सब देवताओं को आदर से बुलाकर उचित आसन दिए गए और वेदी वेद-विधि से सजी। ब्रह्मा का बनाया दिव्य सिंहासन था; शिव ब्राह्मणों को सिर नवाकर उस पर बैठे और हृदय में रघुराई का स्मरण किया। मुनियों ने उमा को बुलाया और सखियाँ शृंगार करके उन्हें ले आईं; उनका रूप देखकर सब देवता मोहित हो गए। देवताओं ने जगदम्बा जानकर उन्हें मन में प्रणाम किया। उनकी शोभा करोड़ों मुखों से भी नहीं कही जा सकती; वेद, शेष और सरस्वती भी कहने में सकुचाते हैं, तो मन्दबुद्धि तुलसी क्या कहे? सौन्दर्य की खान भवानी मण्डप के बीच शिव के पास गईं; संकोच से उन्हें देख न सकीं, पर मन-भौंरा पति के चरण-कमलों में था। मुनियों की आज्ञा से शिव और भवानी ने गणेश का पूजन किया; कोई इसे सुनकर शंका न करे, यह जानकर कि देवता अनादि हैं।

उन्होंने सब देवताओं को आदर से बुलाकर यथायोग्य आसन दिए। वेदी वेद-विधि से सजाई गई और स्त्रियाँ सुन्दर मंगल गाने लगीं।
He called all the gods respectfully and gave each a fitting seat. The altar was laid out by the rules of the Veda, and the women sang lovely auspicious songs.

२2सिंघासनु अति दिब्य सुहावा। जाइ न बरनि बिरंचि बनावा ॥बैठे सिव बिप्रन्ह सिरु नाई। हृदयँ सुमिरि निज प्रभु रघुराई ॥

अति दिव्य और सुहावना सिंहासन था, जिसे ब्रह्मा ने बनाया था और जिसका वर्णन नहीं हो सकता। ब्राह्मणों को सिर नवाकर शिव उस पर बैठे और हृदय में अपने प्रभु रघुराई का स्मरण किया।
A most divine and lovely throne, made by Brahmā, which cannot be described. Śiva bowed to the brahmins and sat on it, remembering in his heart his own Lord Raghurāī.

३3बहुरि मुनीसन्ह उमा बोलाई। करि सिंगारु सखीं लै आई ॥देखत रूपु सकल सुर मोहे। बरनै छबि अस जग कबि को है ॥

फिर मुनीश्वरों ने उमा को बुलाया, और सखियाँ शृंगार करके उन्हें ले आईं। उनका रूप देखकर सब देवता मोहित हो गए; संसार में ऐसा कौन कवि है जो उस छवि का वर्णन करे?
Then the great sages called Umā, and her friends adorned her and brought her. Seeing her form, all the gods were charmed; what poet in the world could describe such beauty?

४4जगदंबिका जानि भव भामा। सुरन्ह मनहिं मन कीन्ह प्रनामा ॥सुंदरता मरजाद भवानी। जाइ न कोटिहुँ बदन बखानी ॥

शिव की पत्नी भवानी को जगदम्बिका जानकर देवताओं ने मन ही मन प्रणाम किया। सुन्दरता की सीमा भवानी का वर्णन करोड़ों मुखों से भी नहीं हो सकता।
Knowing Bhavānī, wife of Bhava, to be the Mother of the world, the gods bowed to her in their hearts. Bhavānī, the limit of beauty, cannot be described even with millions of mouths.

छंद १छंद 1कोटिहुँ बदन नहिं बनै बरनत जग जननि सोभा महा।सकुचहिं कहत श्रुति सेष सारद मंदमति तुलसी कहा ॥छबिखानि मातु भवानि गवनी मध्य मंडप सिव जहाँ ॥अवलोकि सकहिं न सकुच पति पद कमल मनु मधुकरु तहाँ ॥

जगत् की माता की शोभा करोड़ों मुखों से भी नहीं कही जा सकती; वेद, शेष और सरस्वती भी कहने में सकुचाते हैं, तो मन्दबुद्धि तुलसी क्या कहे? सुन्दरता की खान माता भवानी मण्डप के बीच वहाँ चलीं जहाँ शिव थे। संकोच के कारण वे पति को देख नहीं सकती थीं, पर उनका मन रूपी भौंरा पति के चरण-कमलों में था।
The beauty of the Mother of the world cannot be told with a million mouths; even the Vedas, Śeṣa and Śāradā shrink to say it, so how can dull-minded Tulasī? मुनियों की आज्ञा से शिव और भवानी ने गणेश का पूजन किया। यह सुनकर कोई संदेह न करे, यह जानकर कि देवता अनादि हैं।
By the order of the sages, Śambhu and Bhavānī worshipped Gaṇapati. Let no one doubt this when they hear it, knowing in their hearts that the gods are beginningless.
