Sītā, dear as life and pure in love, meets her kin and her mother and father and turns back. She bows to all her mothers-in-law and embraces them, and the poet has no heart to describe the love. Hearing their advice and receiving their wished-for blessings, Sītā stays filled with love for both families. Rāma has fine palanquins brought, consoles the mothers, and seats them. Again and again the two brothers embrace them and send their mothers off with equal love. With horses, elephants and many vehicles arrayed, Bharata and the king's party set out. All go senseless, with Rāma, Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa in their hearts; even bulls, horses and elephants go helplessly, hearts sunk. With Rāma, Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa in their hearts, all the people went senseless. Bulls, horses, elephants and animals, sunk at heart, went helplessly, their minds dead.
