Chapter 243·Rāma meets Vasiṣṭha and Guha·Verses 1–दोहा 243
रघुपति भगति सुमंगल मूला
The ocean of virtue hears that the teacher has come, leaves Śatrughna near Sītā and goes quickly, steady in dharma and kind to the poor. Seeing the teacher, Rāma and his brother bow flat on the ground; the sage runs and takes them to his heart, and the brothers meet him in a flood of love. Guha, thrilled, says his name and bows from far away. The sage forcibly embraces Rāma's friend, as if gathering up the love rolling on the ground. Devotion to Raghupati is the root of every blessing; the gods praise and rain flowers from the sky. They say no one is as utterly low as Guha, and no one as great as Vasiṣṭha. Yet the sage met him with more joy than he met Lakṣmaṇa, which shows the visible power of worshipping Sītā's lord.शील के सागर राम ने गुरु का आना सुना तो शत्रुघ्न को सीता के पास रखा और धैर्य और धर्म की धुरी, दीनों पर दया करने वाले राम उसी समय तेजी से चले। गुरु को देखकर छोटे भाई सहित प्रभु दण्डवत प्रणाम करने लगे। श्रेष्ठ मुनि ने दौड़कर उन्हें हृदय से लगा लिया; दोनों भाई प्रेम में उमगकर उनसे मिले। केवट ने प्रेम से पुलकित होकर अपना नाम कहकर दूर से दण्डवत किया। ऋषि ने रामसखा को बलपूर्वक हृदय से लगाया, मानो धरती पर लोटते हुए स्नेह को समेट लिया हो। रघुपति की भक्ति सब मंगलों की जड़ है; आकाश से देवता सराहकर फूल बरसाते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि इसके समान नीच कोई नहीं और वसिष्ठ के समान बड़ा संसार में कौन है। जिसे देखकर मुनिराज लक्ष्मण से भी अधिक प्रसन्न होकर मिले, वह सीतापति के भजन का प्रकट प्रताप और प्रभाव है।

शील के सागर राम ने गुरु का आना सुना तो शत्रुघ्न को सीता के पास रखा और उसी समय तेजी से चले; वे धैर्य और धर्म की धुरी और दीनों पर दया करने वाले हैं।
The ocean of virtue, hearing that the teacher had come, left Śatrughna near Sītā and went quickly at that time, Rāma, steady in dharma and kind to the poor.

Seeing the teacher, the Lord and his brother, full of love, began to bow flat on the ground. The great sage ran and took them to his heart; the two brothers met him, overflowing with love.

जिसे देखकर मुनिराज लक्ष्मण से भी अधिक प्रसन्न होकर मिले, वह सीतापति के भजन का प्रकट प्रताप और प्रभाव है।
The sage met him, seeing whom he was gladder than when he met Lakṣmaṇa. That is the visible power and effect of worshipping Sītā's lord.
