Chapter 225·Good omens; the hill of Citrakūṭa·Verses 1–
Good omens come to everyone: eyes and arms throb pleasantly, and all feel hope that Rāma will meet them and the burning sorrow will end. Each makes wishes in his own heart, and all walk as if drunk on the wine of love. Their limbs are slack, their feet stumble on the road, and in their love their speech wanders. At that moment Rāma's friend shows them the jewel of hills, naturally lovely, near which, by the river Payasvinī, the two heroes live with Sītā. All bow flat on the ground, saying, 'Victory to Jānakī and Rāma, her life!' The company is so lost in love that it seems Rāma is walking back to Ayodhyā. Not even Śeṣa could tell Bharata's love at that moment.

Good omens came to everyone; their eyes and arms throbbed pleasantly. With Bharata and his company went great joy: Rāma will meet us, and the burning of our sorrow will end.

Each made wishes as was in his heart, and all went intoxicated with the wine of love. Their limbs were slack and their feet faltered on the road; they spoke confused words in their love.

Seeing it, all bowed flat on the ground, saying, 'Victory to Jānakī and Rāma, her life!' The royal company was lost in love, as if Raghurāja were walking back to Ayodhyā.

Śeṣa cannot tell Bharata's love at that moment, as the bliss of Brahman is beyond the poet's reach, and I am a man of soiled mind.
