Guha tells his men to get ready, block the ferry and prepare for death. He will face Bharata with iron and not let him cross the Gaṅgā alive. Dying in battle on the Gaṅgā bank, in Rāma's work, with a body that lasts only a moment, is a fine death: Bharata is a brother and king, and he is a low man, so such a death comes only by great fortune. For his master he will fight and make his fame white across the fourteen worlds. He will give up his life at Raghunātha's plea, with sweets in both hands. A man who has no place among saints, who has no mark among Rāma's devotees, lives on as a burden on the earth and an axe at the root of his mother's youth.
