Is the Mundamala (skull rosary) meant for ordinary householders?
No — despite motivational posts and videos suggesting anyone can attain Siddhi with a Mundamala, the truth is that it is not intended for ordinary householders.

Can japa be done on a mundmala at home?
It is not done at home, the speaker says. A genuine mundmala, made of bone by the vidhi by which it is made, is not available in today's date and cannot be bought from any shop. It is a traditional matter that can be given to you if you have a guru of the Vamachara marga, who can give all these vidhans in the traditional manner. If someone is saying this is a mundmala, then it is of stone, plainly — the rest is your own wish. In our Grihastha Tantra family, he says, this subject does not exist at all.
What are the benefits of wearing a mundmala?
It is awesome for that, the speaker says wryly — but why do you need to wear a mundmala; if you are a householder, do not get entangled in the business of a mundmala. Bhagwan Sadashiva has worn the mundmala only when he has been apart from Bhagavati Sati in each birth, when he has been in the tantra kshetra, or when he has been with Bhagavati in the form of Bhairavi and Bhairav. A mundmala should not be worn just so. Nowadays people are making rules that there are various sorts of rule, a man is wearing it and living at home, and people also put up photographs wearing a mundmala; but go within, he says, and see how much effect it casts and in what manner.
Why do people go to whoever looks most like a tantric?
What happens here, he says, is that whoever makes his outward dress look like a tantric — wearing a mundmala, wearing kade of different kinds, of which there are very many types — and whoever puts on more of a show of himself, doing havan in the shamshan, doing masanik kriyas, will look to you like a real tantric. They will talk of a hundred sadhanas, and then you will go to them and get initiated, or wish to receive diksha from them.
Why does Ma hold the severed head?
