From Amavasya to Guru Purnima: the one-paksha arc of the eclipse guru sadhana
The speaker says that after the Dashami havan the mala is still not to be used; after each japa it goes back into the same Gangajal bowl. From the day after Dashami one continues with one Mala or five, whichever one was doing, now as one wishes; if the wish is to do only one mala, then only one. This continues until Guru Poornima, the Ashadh Purnima falling on 5 July, which is also a Sunday, and on that day the sadhana becomes complete. He calls it a full two-week sadhana, a one-paksha sadhana, from Amavasya to Poornima, from darkness to light.

For both. Those who are initiated will go to their Guru and perform his worship. Those who have performed the Dev Deeksha Vidhan and have no Guru — the question is how they are to worship for the sake of the Guru-tattva.
