Thirty short verses from the fifth chapter of the Durga Saptashati, spoken by the gods. After five verses of salutations to the Devī under many names, one pattern returns again and again: yā devī sarvabhūteṣu, the Goddess who dwells in all beings in some form, and namastasyai, salutation to her. The last two verses ask her to do good and to end the gods' troubles. Durga is the Goddess here.
