A Simple Tantra Kaat Vidhan — Daily Shiv Raksha Stotra Path at a Shiv Temple to Destroy Abhichar on the Body
The speaker's simple daily tantra kaat prayog: Shiv Raksha Stotra path at a pran-pratishthit Shiv temple with laung and kapur in the fists, plus Purnima and Amavasya additions, to destroy abhichar done on the body.

Why tantra kaat done by others fails against an enemy who keeps repeating abhichaar
Three conditions for lasting freedom
The speaker says that when a tantra prayog is done on a family member or the whole house, people run to many tantriks and darbars, yet the kaat often does not happen at the root, because the enemy side is strong and keeps repeating the Abhichara and Kritya prayog instead of doing it once. Until three things are done — we make ourselves capable, make our Aura so strong that others' abhichaar cannot touch us and what was done weakens, and become fully protected — he says the effect of abhichaar stays with us. So, he says, this work must be done carefully by oneself.
The speaker opens by saying that when a tantra prayog is done on someone in the family, or on the whole house, the problem becomes very severe. When it comes to light, we start trying: we go to different places, to different tantriks, to many darbars. But very often, he says, the kaat does not happen at the root. The reason, he says, is that the enemy side is strong and keeps doing Abhichara karma again and again — Kritya prayog and so on. It is not that the enemy did the prayog once and left it. In such a situation, he says, three things have to happen: we have to make ourselves capable; we have to make our Aura so strong that the abhicharic prayogs others are doing have no effect on us and whatever has already been done grows weak; and we have to become completely protected. Until these three things are done, the effect of abhichaar will stay with us. So, he says, we should carefully do this work ourselves.
Why a kaat prayog done inside a tantra-hit house fails, and why the body is protected first
An unbound house leaks to the enemy
The speaker says that when a house is under tantra — someone presses your throat while you sleep, bad dreams come, the girls and small children of the house suffer — doing a prayog inside that house to fix it brings little success and often makes the problem worse. Two things must be kept in mind: the house is under tantra and has not been bound, so through shmashanik forces the enemy side keeps learning what you are doing; and Abhichara also sits on some one person's body and spreads through the family one by one, so protecting the body becomes the most important matter — and that is what cannot be achieved in the house. That, he says, is when this prayog should be done.
The speaker describes the situation of a house where an abhicharic prayog is active and the house is not protected because of tantra: you are sleeping at night and someone presses your throat; bad dreams keep coming; if there are girls in the house they are being troubled; small children are having problems. In such a situation, he says, whenever you do a prayog inside that house to set the matter right, you will not get much success beyond expectation — rather, very often the problem starts to grow. He says two things must be kept in mind here. First, since the effect of tantra is on the house and the house has not been fully bound, it is unprotected; so whatever you do there, the enemy side will somehow keep receiving information through the influence of shmashanik forces about what you are and are not doing. Second, Abhichara also acts on the body of some particular person. The effect starts with one person; the whole family does not fall under it at once, and if it does, it happens slowly — one day something happens to one person, the next day to another. In such a state, he says, the protection of our own body becomes the most important matter, and that is precisely what is not being achieved in the house. That is when we should do this prayog.
Uchchatan: the mind rebels the moment you start cutting an old abhichaar yourself
The first obstacle is also the confirmation
The speaker says that however powerful the tantra prayog, a fresh one gives little trouble, but when Abhichara has grown old — a year or two — the difficulties increase. When you do its kaat yourself, the first thing is that your mind becomes disturbed and there is heavy Uchchatan: once you have gathered all the samagri, the mind says it is useless, nothing happens, why go so far and sit in a temple. He says that if this starts to happen, calm the mind and understand that abhichaar is definitely working well on you, and to escape you must divert the mind, stop listening to it, and become strong.
The speaker says that however great and powerful a tantra prayog has been done, the difficulty comes because the Abhichara has already become effective on you. A year has passed, two years have passed. When it is new there is not much trouble, but when the abhichaar becomes old the difficulties increase. So whenever you do the kaat prayog yourself, he says — if others do it, whatever trouble comes is theirs to understand — the very first thing that will happen is that your mind will become disturbed and uchchatit. There will be heavy Uchchatan. When you have arranged all the samagri to do it, the thought will come into your mind: this is pointless, nothing happens, forget it, it is not going to work, is all this nonsense, let us not do it, how far will we have to go, we will have to sit in a temple, we will have to do such and such. Uchchatan, he says, will be the first thing to start with you. If this begins to happen as you are about to do this prayog, then, he says, calm your mind and think it over: understand that an abhichaar prayog is certainly working very effectively on you. If you want to save yourself, you will somehow have to divert your mind, stop listening to what the mind says, and become strong.
Shiv Raksha Stotra tantra kaat: choosing the Shiv temple and the samagri to carry
Sava saal old, pran-pratishthit, and what goes in the bag
Asked what this prayog needs, the speaker first names the place: a Shiv temple near home at least sava saal (a year and a quarter) old — meaning two Shivratri pujas have been completed there — with a pran-pratishthit Shivling, not one merely placed and worshipped, and where the Shiv parivar is seated. Women must not use a copper lota; women use brass, men may use copper, brass or bronze. Then the samagri to carry after the morning bath and home dhoop-deepak: a lota of water with a little Akshat and black Til (raw milk optional), two pieces of stone kapur broken from a lump (not synthetic tablets), four Laung kept separately, at least five small mustard-oil deepaks with doubled wicks, matches, dhoop, Belpatra or kaner or any flower offered to Shiva, and for Bhog gur, batasha, cardamom seeds or raisins. Most important, he says, is a printout of the Shiv Raksha kavach (PDF linked in the description). Any clothing is fine.
Asked what is needed to do this prayog, the speaker begins with the place. Find a Shiv temple close to home that is at least sava saal — a year and a quarter — old. Sava saal, he explains, means at least two ShivratriThe chaturdashi night of Shiva that falls each month, as distinct from the annual Mahashivratri. have been completed there; the prayog is done in a Shiv temple where the puja of two Shivratri has taken place, or at least one that has stood sava saal since it was built. The ShivlingThe aniconic form of Lord Shiva worshipped at home and in temples. must be pran-pratishthit — not one simply placed somewhere and being worshipped — and the prayog is done only where the Shiv parivar is seated. On the vessel: a woman is not to use a copper lota in this prayog. Women use a brass lota; men may use copper, brass, or even bronze. The samagri: early in the morning, after bathing, first take a lota of water from home. Do whatever home puja you wish — lighting DhoopIncense offered during worship; its smoke is treated as an offering in its own right within the sequence of upacharas. and DeepakThe lamp lit for worship, of ghee or oil according to the vidhi.. Then put a little AkshatUnbroken raw rice grains, held in hand along with water and flowers while taking a Sankalpa. and a little black TilSesame, black til in particular, central to pitr karma and to many ahutis. into the lota; if you wish, mix a little raw milk into that same water, which is for bathing Shiva. Take at least two pieces of kapur — not the synthetic camphor tablets sold nowadays but the lump kapur, the stone kapur: buy a good amount, break it, and keep two pieces. Keep four LaungClove, used in offering and in small prayogas. separately. For lamps, mustard-oil deepaks — at least five every day. Small deepaks are fine, but the wick is doubled. You can carry the deepaks, wicks and oil and prepare them there; keep matches; carry dhoop. Take BelpatraThe trifoliate bilva leaf, the offering proper to Shiva. if you have it, a kaner flower or any flower offered to Shiva. For BhogThe food offering placed before a deity before anyone in the household eats., gur, or batasha, or cardamom seeds or raisins — whatever you are able to carry. The most important thing, he says, is the Shiv Raksha kavach: a PDF link is given in the video's description — download it, take a printout, and carry it. As for clothing, wear anything; there is no problem with clothes.
When to begin the Shiv Raksha tantra kaat: any tithi or month, on a Monday or Friday
Only the weekday is fixed
The speaker says that, carrying all the samagri from home, this prayog is to be done every day for a long time. It can be begun at any time — any paksha, any tithi, any month — with only one thing to keep in mind: the day must be a Monday or a Friday.
Taking all these things from home, the speaker says, you have to do this prayog every day, for a long time. Start it whenever you like — from any paksha, any tithi, any month. The only thing to keep in mind, he says, is that the day should be a Monday or a Friday; that is all.
Shiv Raksha Stotra tantra kaat vidhan at the temple: five deepaks, abhishek, viniyog, eight-shloka path, laung and kapur
The daily sequence from first lamp to closing prayer
The speaker's daily sequence: at the Shiv temple first light the five mustard-oil deepaks in the names of the five faces of Panchanana Shiva (he names Vamdev, Ishan, Aghor and says he will write all five), do the abhisheka with the water brought from home, offer flowers, belpatra and bhog, then sit anywhere in the courtyard on an asana brought from home, never the temple's. With water in hand say in the mind to Mahadev that this prayog is done to destroy all abhichaar karma done on you and to obtain his protection, then read the Viniyoga mantra. Keep the printout below until memorised, hold one kapur and two Laung in each fist, and repeat the first eight shlokas of the Shiv Raksha Stotra — from "चरितम देव देवस्य महादेवस्य पावने" to the eighth ending "सर्वांगिनी सदाशिवः" — 5, 7 or 27 times (27 is best), reading on from "एताम शिव वलोपेताम रक्षा में सुकृति पठेत" to the end only on the last round. Then burn the laung and kapur a little away from Shiva, in an earthen vessel if you wish, fold the hands and pray "free me from all these things, protect me", and go home. This is the first thing, done every day; he calls it very easy.
The speaker describes what to do on entering the Shiv temple. First light the five deepaks. Shiva has five faces, as Panchanana Shiva, and the deepaks are lit in the names of those five faces — VamadevaThe north-facing face of Panchanan Shiva, associated with preservation., IshanThe upward-facing fifth face of Panchanan Shiva, associated with grace. Distinct from the Vastu north-east corner of the same name., Aghora, and the rest; he says he will write the names out for those who do not know them. After that, do the abhishekaA ceremonial bathing of a deity’s image or symbol, usually with water and other prescribed substances. of Shiva with the water brought from home, then offer flowers, BelpatraThe trifoliate bilva leaf, the offering proper to Shiva. and so on, and whatever BhogThe food offering placed before a deity before anyone in the household eats. is to be offered. Then sit anywhere in the temple courtyard — on an asana brought from home. Do not sit on the temple's asana, even though many temples provide one. Keep a little water in the lota for the viniyog. Take water in hand and, before the Viniyoga, say this in the mind to Mahadev: "हे प्रभु, मैं अपने ऊपर किए गए समस्त अभिचार कर्म को ध्वस्त करने हेतु तथा आपके रक्षण की प्राप्ति हेतु इस प्रयोग को कर रहा हूं" — O Lord, I am doing this prayog to destroy all the abhichaar karma done upon me and to obtain your protection. This must be said. Then, with water in hand, read the viniyog mantra and complete the viniyog. Before reading: until the stotra is by heart, keep the paper placed below in front of you; and take one kapur in each hand, with two LaungClove, used in offering and in small prayogas. held in each fist. Only then do the path. The Shiv Raksha StotraA hymn of praise to a deity, recitable without initiation, as distinct from a mantra which is not. begins at "चरितम देव देवस्य महादेवस्य पावने"; from there to the eighth shloka, ending "चरणों करुणा सिंधु सर्वांगिनी सदाशिवः", are the eight shlokas to repeat — at least five times, or seven, or 27, as much as one is able; 27, he says, is best. On the final repetition, from "एताम शिव वलोपेताम रक्षा में सुकृति पठेत" one reads on through to the end. After the path, place the laung and kapur a little distance from Shiva — in an earthen vessel if you wish — and burn them. Then fold the hands and pray: "इन सभी चीजों से मुझे मुक्त कीजिए, मेरी रक्षा कीजिए" — free me from all these things, protect me. Saying this, come home. This, he says, is the first thing, and it must be done every day. It is very easy; he says he has explained it at length so that it is understood.
Special case: doing the Shiv Raksha tantra kaat in the evening instead of the morning
Not at a South-Indian style temple
The speaker says a Grihastha can live a normal life while doing this prayog; there is no Dosha in it. The work is to be done in the morning after bathing. If you cannot manage the morning and go in the evening, make sure the Shiv temple is not a South-Indian style temple, since those do not allow water to be offered in the evening; if it is a north-side temple where offering water in the evening is permitted, the work can be done in the evening too.
The speaker says a GrihasthaThe householder, who carries a family alongside practice — the audience these talks address. person can live an ordinary life while doing this — there is no difficulty. You can comfortably carry on grihastha life while doing the prayog; there is no Dosha of any kind in that. The work is to be done in the morning, after bathing. If you cannot manage the morning and are going to do it in the evening, then keep this in mind: the Shiv temple you go to for offering water should not be a temple of the southern side. In South Indian temples, he says, they do not let you offer water in the evening. So you will have to check that it is a north-side temple, and that offering water in the evening is permitted there; then you can do this work in the evening as well.
Hair rule in the Shiv Raksha tantra kaat: tied for the deepaks and abhishek, open from the sankalp until the laung-kapur is burnt
Shikha and bun, opened and retied on a name of Mahadev
The speaker warns women, and men who keep a Shikha, to note the hair rule, because this is a Tantra Kaat prayog. While lighting the deepaks and doing the abhishek, the shikha stays tied and women keep their hair in a bun. On sitting on the asana, at the moment of the mental Sankalpa before the viniyog — that for the destruction of whatever tantra prayog is on us and for the grace and protection of Bhagwan Sadashiv we resolve today to do the Shiv Raksha Stotra path — the hair is opened; it stays open through the path with the laung and kapur in the hands. After the laung-kapur is burnt, tie the hair again right there while reciting the Shiv Raksha Stotra or any name of Mahadev, then go home.
While listing the samagri, the speaker tells women to listen carefully to when the hair is done open and when it must stay tied, and men who keep a ShikhaThe tuft of hair at the crown, knotted before certain rites. to note when the shikha must be open — because, he says, this is itself a Tantra Kaat prayog, a cutting of tantra. The rule: when you light the deepaks and do the abhishek, the shikha stays bound — you do it with the shikha tied — and women do it with their hair made up in a bun. When you sit on your asana for the prayog, before the viniyog, at the very time of taking the SankalpaA formal ritual resolution spoken aloud before an offering or observance, declaring its intent and dedicating its merit., the tied hair is opened. The sankalp taken in the mind before the viniyog, he says, is this: that for the destruction of whatever tantra prayog is upon us, and for obtaining the grace of Bhagwan Sadashiva and his protection, we today take the sankalp to do the path of the Shiv Raksha StotraA hymn of praise to a deity, recitable without initiation, as distinct from a mantra which is not.. Before this is said in the mind, the hair should already be open. With the hair open, take the LaungClove, used in offering and in small prayogas. and kapur in the hands — two laung and one kapur in each — and do the path by the method he has given. When the laung and kapur have been burnt there, the hair is tied again — while reciting the Shiv Raksha Stotra, or while uttering any name of Mahadeva, tie the hair right there; keep this in mind. Then come home. This work is done every day, for a long time.
No day-count for the Shiv Raksha tantra kaat, and the fruit claimed for it
Bhakti, the Shiv parivar's grace, all-round development
The speaker says not to count days — that 41 days are done, or three months — but simply to keep doing it. He says you will obtain the bhakti of Mahadeva, his grace and the grace of the whole Shiv parivar; not only will Abhichara and parkritya prayog be destroyed, but by Mahadev's grace you will have all-round development in every way.
The speaker says this work is to be done daily, for a long time. Do not count the days — that 41 days are complete, that three months are complete. Keep on doing it. For one, he says, you will obtain the bhakti of Mahadeva; you will obtain his grace, and the grace of the whole Shiv parivar. In this, not only will Abhichara be destroyed and parkritya prayog be destroyed, but you will have all-round development — you are going to develop in every way, by the grace of Mahadev.
Purnima and Amavasya additions to the tantra kaat: dahi-besan ubtan and a dahi and mustard-oil abhishek of Mahadev
Water, dahi, oil, water again
Alongside the daily prayog, the speaker gives two more things for Poornima and Amavasya. If you are gripped by Abhichara, then on those days, when you bathe at home, mix besan into dahi to make an ubtan, apply it over the whole body after bathing — men and women alike — and then wash it off well. And at the temple that day, do the abhishek of Mahadev with dahi made from cow's milk and with mustard oil: first the deepaks in the names of the five faces, then abhishek with water, then dahi, then mustard oil, then water again.
Along with this daily work, the speaker says, you will do two more things. On the day of Poornima and on the day of Amavasya — these two days — if you are gripped by Abhichara, then first of all, when you bathe at home, mix besan into dahi to make an ubtan and, after bathing, apply it as a paste over the whole body. This is for both women and men. Then wash it off thoroughly — that is, bathe well. And when you go to Mahadev at the temple that day, do his abhishekaA ceremonial bathing of a deity’s image or symbol, usually with water and other prescribed substances. too with dahi and with mustard oil. This is to be done on both days, Amavasya and Purnima. Take care that the dahi is good and made from cow's milk. The order, he says, is: as before, light the deepaks in the names of the five faces; then do the abhishek with water; after that with dahi; then with mustard oil; then once more the abhishek with water. That much is what you do on Amavasya and Purnima.
Lifelong Shiv Raksha practice: protection even from a panchmundi tantrik, with jeev seva and feeding others
Be in the right, serve beings, share your earnings
The speaker says that if you make this work a continuous part of your life, then however great a tantrik there may be — even one seated on a Panchamundi asana — Mahadev will lift him up on the Trishul and he will be able to do nothing to you; you only need to be in the right and do these things properly. Along with it, Jeev Seva must be done — serving animals and birds — and the grain of your own earned share should go into others' stomachs, so that their blessing is obtained. Doing all this for a long time, he says, you will surely benefit, and by Mahadev's grace the tantra prayog will be destroyed.
The speaker closes by saying that if you take up this work continuously and make it part of your life, then however big a tantrik there may be — even a tantrik seated on a Panchamundi asana — Mahadev will lift him up on the TrishulThe three-pointed weapon of Shiva and the Goddess, also planted at a shakti sthal. and set him aside; he will not be able to do anything to you. You just have to be in the right, and do these things in the proper way. Along with this, he says, Jeev Seva must certainly be done — that is, service to animals and birds. And the grain of your own share of earnings should go into the stomachs of others; then their blessing will be obtained. Do all these things and see, he says: over a long time you will surely receive benefit, and by the grace of Mahadev the tantra prayog will be destroyed.
