Taking refuge in Ganapati when obstacles will not leave despite every remedy
Six months of the Sankat Nashan stotra
The speaker says that when troubles keep growing and will not end — after many sadhanas, anushthans, visits to Brahmins, sadhaks and tantriks, and after puja, snan and daan for a bad graha dasha in the birth chart — and new work keeps meeting obstacles and losses, one should take refuge in Ganapati, the first-worshipped remover of obstacles. He says it is held that whoever recites the Sankat Nashan Stotra (Sankat Nashan Ganapati Stotram, from the Narada Purana) regularly every day for six months gets what he seeks: wealth, a son or offspring for the family line, or learning. As support he cites the Shiva Purana: when Shiva could not pierce the three cities of Tripurasura, a voice from the sky told him to worship Ganapati together with Bhagavati Bhadrakali.
The speaker introduces the Sankat Nashan Stotra, the Sankat Nashan Ganapati Stotram, which he places in the Narada Purana. It is said, he reports, that a person who recites it regularly every day for six months obtains what he wants: wealth if he wants wealth, a son if he wants a son, special offspring for the growth of the family line, learning if he wants learning. Before any work, he adds, the seva and puja of Ganesha is essential, because Ganapati is the first to be worshipped. The situation he has in mind: troubles have grown very great and are not being destroyed. You have done many kinds of sadhana, had anushthans performed, gone to learned people, Brahmins, sadhaks and tantriks. There is a dosha in the birth chart, or a graha whose mahadasha or antardasha is running, and you have had its puja, snan and daan done for its shanti — and still no real benefit. Every new work meets obstacles, losses come again and again, and obstacles will not leave you. In such a reversed and grave situation, he says, one should take refuge in Ganapati. As support he tells the Shiva Purana story: when the three cities of Tripurasura would not come together and Shiva (he calls him Pashupatinath) could not pierce them, a voice from the sky said, O Rudra, worship Ganapati the remover of obstacles together with Bhagavati Bhadrakali. So, he says, when we too cannot reach a goal in life and many obstacles come, we should take refuge in Ganapati.
What the scripture says
A voice from the sky tells Śiva he cannot destroy the three cities until Vināyaka is worshipped, so Śiva summons Bhadrakālī and worships Gaṇeśa.
The speaker has the voice ask for Gaṇapati and Bhadrakālī to be worshipped together; in the text Śiva summons Bhadrakālī and the worship is of Gaṇeśa.

भो भो न यावद्भगवन्नर्चितोऽसौ विनायकः । पुराणि जगदीशेश साम्प्रतं न हनिष्यति ॥ ६
"Ho, ho! O Lord, as long as that Vināyaka has not been worshipped, O Lord of the universe, you shall not now be able to destroy the cities!"
एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु वचनं गजवक्त्रमपूजयत् । भद्रकालीं समाहूय ततोऽन्धकनिषूदनः ॥ ७
Having heard this word, the slayer of Andhaka, having summoned Bhadrakālī, then worshipped the elephant-faced one.
Writing the Sankat Nashan Ganapati Stotra eight times and giving it to a Brahmin
A chaturthi prayoga for persistent troubles
For someone whose troubles are very great and will not go even after many remedies, the speaker gives a Ganapati prayoga begun on a chaturthi tithi of either the krishna or the shukla paksha. Recite the Sankat Nashan Stotra (Sankat Nashan Ganapati Stotram of the Narada Purana), and also write its root portion (mool bhag) eight times — every day if possible, or else on each chaturthi — keep the writing, and give it to a Brahmin as daan with some Dakshina. He says all troubles will surely be destroyed and Ganapati will show grace. He does it alongside his separate, simpler Ashtavinayak chaturthi puja and havan, which he points to in another video.
The speaker says this sadhana is begun on a chaturthi tithi, whether of the krishna paksha or the shukla paksha. He also points to a separate, very simple Ashtavinayak sadhana he has given in another video: how to do the puja of the eight forms of Ganapati who appeared in Maharashtra and nearby, on the chaturthi tithi, together with havan. Along with that, if your troubles are very great and will not go, you are also to do this prayoga. The recitation of the Sankat Nashan Stotra — the Sankat Nashan Ganapati Stotram, which he places in the Narada Purana — is to be done in any case. In addition, write the root portion (mool bhag) of the stotra, the part he shows being written on screen, eight times. If possible write it every day; otherwise write it on every chaturthi tithi and keep it, and give it to a BrahminOne of the priestly varna, fed or given dakshina at the close of many anushthans. as daan with some DakshinaThe offering made to a guru or officiant that completes a rite; a ritual is held incomplete without it.. By this, he says, all your troubles will surely be destroyed and Ganesha will show grace. The video does not spell out which verses make up the root portion; it is shown on screen only.
