Men are ruled by women and dance like monkeys at a show. Low men teach the twice-born, put on the sacred thread and take forbidden gifts. All men are given to lust, greed and anger, and are against gods, brahmins, the Veda and saints. Unlucky women leave handsome, good husbands and follow other men. Married women have no ornaments, and widows deck themselves out anew. The teacher and pupil are like the deaf and the blind: one does not hear, the other does not see. A teacher who takes the pupil's wealth and not his sorrow falls into a terrible hell. Parents call their children and teach only the dharma that fills the belly. In the dohās, men and women speak of nothing but their own interest, and brahmins and teachers are killed for a few pennies; low-born men argue with the twice-born as if they were no lesser, and if one knows Brahman he stares him down.
