राम सब उपमाओं से परे
Bhuśuṇḍi says the Lord is deep as a hundred million underworlds and fearful as a hundred million Yamas. His name destroys the sins of countless holy places. He is steady as a hundred million Himālayas, deep as a hundred million seas, and gives all wishes like a hundred million wish-cows. He has the wit of a hundred million Sarasvatīs and the skill of a hundred million Brahmās, the keeping power of a hundred million Viṣṇus and the destroying power of a hundred million Rudras, the wealth of a hundred million Kuberas, the whole play of the world in a hundred million Māyās, and the power to bear the earth like a hundred million Śeṣas. In the chhand, Rāma has no equal, and the Vedas say Rāma alone is like Rāma; to say the sun is like him is like calling a glow-worm a sun. Thus sages explain him by their own minds; the kind Lord takes only the feeling and is glad to listen with love. In the couplets, Rāma is a sea of endless virtues whose depth no one reaches; what Bhuśuṇḍi heard from saints, he has told. The Lord is held by feeling; so, dropping pride and attachment, worship Sītā's husband always.भुशुंडि कहते हैं कि प्रभु सौ करोड़ पातालों जैसे अथाह और सौ करोड़ यमों जैसे कराल हैं। उनका नाम असंख्य तीर्थों जैसा पावन है और सब पापों के समूह को नाश करता है। वे सौ करोड़ हिमालयों जैसे अचल, सौ करोड़ सागरों जैसे गंभीर और सौ करोड़ कामधेनुओं जैसे सब कामनाएँ देने वाले हैं। उनमें करोड़ों सरस्वतियों की चतुराई, सौ करोड़ ब्रह्माओं की सृष्टि-निपुणता, करोड़ विष्णुओं के समान पालन और सौ करोड़ रुद्रों के समान संहार की शक्ति है; वे सौ करोड़ कुबेरों जितने धनवान, करोड़ों मायाओं से भरे प्रपंच के निधान और सौ करोड़ शेषों की तरह भार धारण करने वाले हैं। छंद में कहा गया है कि राम की कोई उपमा नहीं, राम के समान राम ही हैं, ऐसा वेद कहते हैं; जैसे सौ करोड़ जुगनू सूर्य के बराबर नहीं, और जो सूर्य से उपमा दे वह उसे छोटा करता है। इस प्रकार मुनि अपनी बुद्धि के विलास से हरि को बखानते हैं; प्रभु भाव के ग्राहक अति कृपालु हैं और प्रेम से सुनकर सुख मानते हैं। दोहों में कहा गया है कि राम अपार गुणों का सागर हैं जिसकी थाह कोई नहीं पाता; संतों से जो कुछ सुना, वही आपको सुनाया। भगवान भाव के वश हैं, इसलिए ममता, मद और मान छोड़कर सदा सीतापति को भजिए।

He has the wealth of a hundred million Kuberas, a store of worldly play made of a hundred million Māyās, and like a hundred million Śeṣas he bears the weight; limitless, matchless, the Lord of the world.

उपमा नहीं है; राम की कोई और उपमा नहीं। वेद कहते हैं कि राम के समान राम ही हैं। जैसे सौ करोड़ जुगनू सूर्य के बराबर नहीं होते, वैसे सूर्य को उनके समान कहना उन्हें छोटा करना है। इस प्रकार मुनीश्वर अपनी-अपनी बुद्धि के विलास से हरि का वर्णन करते हैं। भाव को ग्रहण करने वाले अति कृपालु प्रभु प्रेम से सुनकर सुख मानते हैं।
There is no likeness; no other likeness for Rāma. The Vedas say: Rāma alone is like Rāma. As a hundred million glow-worms are no match for the sun, so calling the sun like him only makes him small. In this way sages describe Hari, each by the play of his own mind. The Lord, who takes the feeling, most kind, listens with love and is glad.
