Chapter 64·The crow begins the story·Verses 1–
Garuda says: the reason I came is already fulfilled, since I have your sight. Seeing your holy ashram, my delusion, doubt and many errors are gone. Now tell me, dear one, with respect, the holy story of Rāma, always pleasant and destroying heaps of pain; I ask you again and again. Hearing Garuda's humble, simple, loving words, the crow's mind rose in great joy, and he began to tell Raghupati's virtues. First, Bhavānī, with great love he told of the lake of Rāma's deeds. Then of Nārada's great delusion, then the avatar as Rāvaṇa. Then he sang the story of the Lord's coming, and told the boyhood with his mind in it. The dohā: he told the Lord's boyhood in many ways with great joy in the heart; then the sage's coming and the Lord's marriage.
