Chapter 60·Brahmā sends Garuda to Śiva·Verses 1–दोहा 60
बिरंचि पहिं गयऊ
The king of birds goes to Brahmā and tells him his doubt. Hearing it, Brahmā bows to Rāma, and thinking of his glory is filled with love. He thinks in his mind: even poets, the wise and the learned are under Maya's power. Hari's Maya has an unmeasured effect, and many times has made me dance too. This world made of moving and still things is my creation, so there is no wonder in the delusion, king of birds. Then Brahmā speaks sweetly: only Mahesh knows Rāma's greatness. Go to Śaṅkara, son of Vinatā, and ask no one else; there your doubt will end. Hearing Brahmā's words the bird leaves. The dohā: then the bird, very troubled, came to me, when I was going to Kubera's house, and I was staying, Umā, at Kailāsa.खगपति ब्रह्मा के पास गए और अपना संदेह सुनाया। सुनकर ब्रह्मा ने राम को सिर नवाया और उनके प्रताप को समझकर प्रेम से भर गए। विधाता मन में विचार करते हैं: कवि, कोविद और ज्ञानी सब माया के वश में हैं। हरि की माया का प्रभाव अपरिमित है, जिसने मुझे भी बहुत बार नचाया है। यह जगत, जो चर-अचर से भरा है, मेरा ही रचा हुआ है; हे खगराज, जब मैं ही मोह से बचा नहीं हूँ तो इसमें आश्चर्य नहीं। तब ब्रह्मा सुहावनी वाणी में बोले: राम की प्रभुता महेश जानते हैं। हे बैनतेय, शंकर के पास जाओ; हे तात, और कहीं किसी से मत पूछो। वहाँ तुम्हारा संशय मिटेगा। ब्रह्मा की बात सुनते ही पक्षी चल पड़ा। दोहे में शिव कहते हैं कि तब अत्यन्त व्याकुल होकर गरुड़ मेरे पास आए; मैं कुबेर के घर जा रहा था, हे उमा, तुम कैलास में रहीं।
१1तब खगपति बिरंचि पहिं गयऊ। निज संदेह सुनावत भयऊ ॥सुनि बिरंचि रामहि सिरु नावा। समुझि प्रताप प्रेम अति छावा ॥

तब खगपति ब्रह्मा के पास गए और अपना संदेह सुनाने लगे। सुनकर ब्रह्मा ने राम को सिर नवाया और उनके प्रताप को समझकर प्रेम से भर गए।
Then the king of birds went to Brahmā and told him his doubt. Hearing it, Brahmā bowed to Rāma, and thinking of his glory was filled with love.

२2मन महुँ करइ बिचार बिधाता। माया बस कबि कोबिद ग्याता ॥हरि माया कर अमिति प्रभावा। बिपुल बार जेहिं मोहि नचावा ॥

विधाता मन में विचार करने लगे कि कवि, कोविद और ज्ञानी सब माया के वश में हैं। हरि की माया का प्रभाव अपरिमित है, जिसने मुझे भी बहुत बार नचाया है।

३3अग जगमय जग मम उपराजा। नहिं आचरज मोह खगराजा ॥तब बोले बिधि गिरा सुहाई। जान महेस राम प्रभुताई ॥

हे बैनतेय, शंकर के पास जाओ। हे तात, और कहीं किसी से मत पूछो। वहाँ तुम्हारा संशय मिटेगा।" ब्रह्मा की बात सुनते ही पक्षी चल पड़ा।
Son of Vinatā, go to Śaṅkara. Dear one, ask no one else. There your doubt will end." Hearing Brahmā's words the bird set off.

तब अत्यन्त व्याकुल होकर खगपति मेरे पास आए। हे उमा, मैं कुबेर के घर जा रहा था और तुम कैलास में रहीं।
