In the Kṛta age all are yogis and knowers, who cross by meditating on Hari. In Tretā men do many sacrifices and cross by offering their deeds to the Lord. In Dvāpara they cross by worshipping Raghupati's feet, with no other way. In Kali there is only the song of Hari's virtues, and singing them they find the depth of the world. In Kali there is no yoga, sacrifice or knowledge; the one support is to sing Rāma's virtues. Whoever gives up every other trust and sings the praises of Rāma with love will cross without doubt; the power of the Name is plain in Kali. One more holy glory of Kali is that the mind's doing counts as merit and not as sin. In the dohās, there is no age like Kali if a man has faith, for by singing Rāma's pure virtues he crosses with no effort. Dharma has four feet, and in Kali one is chief: by whatever means it is given, giving does good.कृतयुग में सब योगी और विज्ञानी होते हैं; वे हरि का ध्यान करके संसार से तरते हैं। त्रेता में लोग अनेक यज्ञ करते हैं और कर्म प्रभु को अर्पण करके तरते हैं। द्वापर में रघुपति के चरणों की पूजा करके तरते हैं, कोई दूसरा उपाय नहीं। कलियुग में केवल हरि के गुणों की गाथा है, जिसे गाते-गाते लोग भव की थाह पाते हैं। कलियुग में न योग है, न यज्ञ, न ज्ञान; एक ही आधार है राम के गुणों का गान। जो सब भरोसे छोड़कर प्रेम से राम के गुण-समूह गाता है, वह निस्संदेह भवसागर तर जाता है; कलि में नाम का प्रताप प्रत्यक्ष है। कलि का एक और पवित्र प्रताप है कि मन के संकल्प से पुण्य होता है, पाप नहीं। दोहे कहते हैं कि यदि मनुष्य को विश्वास हो तो कलियुग के बराबर कोई युग नहीं, क्योंकि राम के निर्मल गुणों को गाकर वह बिना प्रयास तर जाता है। धर्म के चार पैर प्रकट हैं और कलियुग में एक प्रधान है: जिस किसी भी विधि से दान दिया जाए, उससे कल्याण होता है।

द्वापर में मनुष्य रघुपति के चरणों की पूजा करके भव तरते हैं; दूसरा उपाय नहीं है। कलियुग में केवल हरि के गुणों की गाथा है, जिसे गाकर मनुष्य भव की थाह पाते हैं।
In Dvāpara men cross the world by worshipping Raghupati's feet; there is no other way. In Kali there is only the telling of Hari's virtues, and by singing them men find the depth of the world.

३3कलिजुग जोग न जग्य न ग्याना। एक अधार राम गुन गाना ॥सब भरोस तजि जो भज रामहि। प्रेम समेत गाव गुन ग्रामहि ॥

कलियुग में न योग है, न यज्ञ, न ज्ञान; एक ही आधार है राम के गुणों का गान। जो सब भरोसे छोड़कर प्रेम से राम के गुणों का गान करता है,

वही भवसागर तर जाता है, इसमें संदेह नहीं। कलियुग में नाम का प्रताप प्रकट है। कलियुग का एक और पवित्र प्रताप है कि मन के संकल्प से पुण्य होता है, पाप नहीं।

कलियुग में शुभ संकल्प भी पुण्य गिना जाता है, जबकि केवल बुरा संकल्प, जब तक उस पर काम न हो, पाप नहीं गिना जाता।
In the Kali age a good thought counts as a good deed, while a bad thought alone is not counted as a sin until it is acted on.

यदि मनुष्य को विश्वास हो तो कलियुग के समान कोई युग नहीं है। राम के निर्मल गुणों के समूह को गाकर वह बिना प्रयास भवसागर तर जाता है।
There is no age like Kali, if a man has faith. By singing Rāma's pure group of virtues, he crosses the world with no effort.
