नल नील
The sea says: 'Lord, Nīla and Nala are two monkey brothers who, as children, got a sage's blessing. If they touch great hills, they will cross the sea by your glory. I too shall hold your greatness in my heart and help as far as my strength goes. In this way, Lord, have the sea bridged, so that this fair fame is sung in the three worlds. With this arrow strike the wicked, the men of sin who live on my northern shore.' Hearing this, kind Rāma, steady in battle, at once took away the sea's pain. Seeing Rāma's great strength, the sea was glad and happy. He told the Lord all that had happened, bowed at his feet and went. The chhand closes the Sundara Kāṇḍa: the sea went to his house, and this plan pleased Raghupati. Tulasīdāsa sings this tale, which removes the dirt of the Kali age, as far as his mind allows. Raghupati's virtues are a house of joy, an end to doubt, and a cure for grief. Give up all hope and trust in others, O foolish mind, and sing and hear them always. The last dohā says that singing Raghunāyaka's virtues gives every blessing, and those who hear with respect cross the ocean of becoming without a boat.समुद्र ने कहा, नाथ, नील और नल दो वानर भाई हैं, जिन्होंने बचपन में ऋषि का आशीर्वाद पाया था। उनके छूने से भारी पर्वत भी आपके प्रताप से समुद्र पर तैरेंगे। मैं भी अपने हृदय में आपकी प्रभुता धरकर अपने बल के अनुसार सहायता करूँगा। इस तरह, नाथ, समुद्र पर सेतु बँधवाइए, जिससे यह सुयश तीनों लोकों में गाया जाए। इस बाण से मेरे उत्तर तट पर रहने वाले दुष्ट पाप की राशि मनुष्यों को मार दीजिए। यह सुनकर कृपालु रणधीर राम ने तुरन्त समुद्र की पीड़ा हर ली। राम का बल और पुरुषार्थ देखकर समुद्र हर्षित और सुखी हुआ। उसने प्रभु को सारा चरित सुनाया, चरणों की वन्दना की और चल दिया। छन्द में कहा है: समुद्र अपने घर चला गया और यह मत रघुपति को भाया। कलियुग का मैल हरने वाला यह चरित तुलसीदास ने अपनी बुद्धि के अनुसार गाया है। रघुपति के गुणों का गान सुख का घर, सन्देह का नाश और विषाद का दमन करने वाला है। हे मूर्ख मन, सब आशा और भरोसा छोड़कर इन्हें गा और सुन। अन्तिम दोहे में कहा है कि रघुनायक के गुणों का गान सब मंगल देने वाला है; जो इसे आदर से सुनते हैं, वे बिना नाव के भवसागर तर जाते हैं।

The sea went to his own house, and this plan pleased Raghupati. Tulasīdāsa has sung, as far as his mind allows, this tale that takes away the dirt of the Kali age. Raghupati's virtues are a house of joy, an end to doubt, a cure for grief. Giving up all hope and trust in others, O foolish mind, sing them and hear them always.
