Among the demonesses is one named Trijaṭā, wise and devoted to Rāma's feet. She calls the others and tells them her dream, and says they should serve Sītā for their own good. In the dream a monkey burnt Laṅkā and killed the army of demons. Rāvaṇa rode a donkey, naked, with a shaven head and his twenty arms cut off. Going south, he seemed to give Laṅkā to Vibhīṣaṇa. The cry of Raghubīra's victory went through the city, and the Lord sent for Sītā. She says it will come true in four days. Hearing this, the demonesses were afraid and fell at Sītā's feet. Then they went off here and there, and Sītā was left sunk in worry, thinking that after a month the cruel demon would kill her.राक्षसियों में त्रिजटा नाम की एक थी, जो राम के चरणों में प्रीति रखती थी और बुद्धिमती थी। उसने सबको बुलाकर अपना सपना सुनाया और कहा कि सीता की सेवा करके अपना हित कर लो। सपने में एक बन्दर ने लंका जला दी और राक्षसों की सारी सेना मार डाली। रावण गधे पर सवार था, नंगा था, सिर मुँड़ा हुआ था और उसकी बीसों भुजाएँ कटी हुई थीं। इस तरह दक्षिण दिशा को जाता हुआ वह ऐसा लगता था मानो लंका विभीषण को मिल गई हो। नगर में रघुवीर की दुहाई फिर गई, तब प्रभु ने सीता को बुलवा भेजा। त्रिजटा ने कहा कि मैं यह सपना पुकारकर कहती हूँ, चार दिन बीतने पर यह सच होगा। यह सुनकर सब राक्षसियाँ डर गईं और सीता के चरणों पर गिर पड़ीं। फिर वे जहाँ-तहाँ चली गईं। तब सीता सोच में पड़ गईं कि एक महीना बीतने पर वह नीच राक्षस मुझे मार डालेगा।

In this way he went toward the south, and it seemed that Laṅkā had been given to Vibhīṣaṇa. The cry of Raghubīra's victory went through the city. Then the Lord sent for Sītā.

तब वे सब जहाँ-तहाँ चली गईं, और सीता मन में सोचने लगीं, 'एक महीना बीतने पर वह नीच राक्षस मुझे मार डालेगा।'
Then all of them went off here and there, and Sītā began to worry in her heart: 'After a month has passed, the vile demon will kill me.'
