Mandodarī says that even a tiger will not eat one who meets it face to face, and Rāma is compassionate. Rāvaṇa has already done all that a man need do, and has conquered gods, demons and every creature. The wise say a king should go to the forest in his last age, and there worship the one who creates, keeps and destroys. Rāma is the lover of those who bow, and has come to show mercy to Rāvaṇa. If her husband follows her advice, his fame will be pure in all three worlds. Saying this, she falls at his feet with tears in her eyes, and begs him to worship Rāma so that her husband's good fortune stays.मंदोदरी कहती है कि बाघ भी सामने जाने पर नहीं खाता, और राम तो दीनदयालु हैं। रावण ने वह सब कर लिया जो करना चाहिए था, और देवता, असुर और सब जीव जीत लिए। सन्तों की रीति है कि राजा अन्तिम अवस्था में वन जाए और वहाँ उस प्रभु को भजे जो रचता, पालता और संहार करता है। राम शरण में आए हुओं पर प्रेम करते हैं और रावण पर दया करने आए हैं। यदि पति उसकी सीख मान लें तो तीनों लोकों में उनका यश अति पवित्र होगा। यह कहकर वह आँखों में आँसू भरकर चरण पकड़ लेती है और कहती है कि राम को भजिए, जिससे उसका सुहाग अटल रहे।

वही रघुवीर शरणागतों से प्रेम करने वाले हैं। नाथ, ममता छोड़कर उन्हें भजिए। श्रेष्ठ मुनि जिसके लिए प्रयत्न करते हैं और राजा राज छोड़कर विरागी हो जाते हैं।
That same Raghuvīra loves those who bow to him. Worship him, my lord, giving up all possessiveness. The great sages work hard for him, and kings give up their kingdoms to become hermits.
