Chapter 33·Aṅgada answers the threats·Verses 1–सोरठा 33(ख)
त्रिय चोर
Rāvaṇa orders his warriors to run at once, eat the monkeys and bears wherever they find them, clear the earth of monkeys and take the two ascetic brothers alive. Aṅgada, angry, tells him to cut his own throat and die: he feels no shame in boasting, and his chest does not burst at the sight of Rāma's strength. He calls him a woman's thief, a lover of evil roads, a heap of filth, a lecher who babbles in delirium, and a man-eater fallen under Time. The monkeys and bears will slap him for it, and the tongue that calls Rāma a man will fall, with his heads, on the battlefield. How is he a man who killed Vālī with one arrow? Twenty eyes blind, shame on his low birth. Rāma's arrows thirst for his blood, and only for fear of that thirst does Aṅgada spare him.रावण अपने योद्धाओं को आज्ञा देता है कि तुरन्त दौड़ो, भालू-वानर जहाँ-जहाँ मिलें खा जाओ, धरती को वानरों से रहित कर दो और दोनों तपस्वी भाइयों को जीवित पकड़ लो। अंगद क्रोध से कहते हैं कि अरे निर्लज्ज कुलघाती, गला काटकर मर जा; बल देखकर तेरी छाती नहीं फटती? वे उसे परायी स्त्री का चोर, कुमार्गगामी, मैल का ढेर, मन्दबुद्धि कामी कहते हैं जो सन्निपात में गाली बकता है और काल के वश होकर नरभक्षी बन गया है। वानर-भालुओं के थप्पड़ लगने पर इसका फल मिलेगा। जो जीभ राम को मनुष्य कहती है वह सिरों सहित रणभूमि में गिरेगी। वह मनुष्य कैसे है जिसने बालि को एक ही बाण से मारा? बीसों आँखों से अन्धे, तेरे जन्म को धिक्कार। राम के बाणों की प्यास तेरे रक्त की है, उसी भय से मैं तुझे छोड़ रहा हूँ।

'इस तरह सब वीर योद्धा तुरन्त दौड़ो। भालू और वानर जहाँ-जहाँ मिलें, उन्हें खा जाओ। जाकर धरती को वानरों से रहित कर दो और दोनों तपस्वी भाइयों को जीवित पकड़ लो।'
'In this way, quickly, all brave warriors run. Eat the bears and monkeys wherever you find them. Go and make the earth free of monkeys, and catch the two ascetic brothers alive.'

फिर युवराज ने क्रोध से कहा, 'डींग मारते तुझे लाज नहीं आती? निर्लज्ज कुलघाती, गला काटकर मर जा। उसका बल देखकर तेरी छाती नहीं फटती?
Then the prince said angrily, 'You are not ashamed to brag? Cut your throat and die, shameless killer of your family. Does your chest not burst seeing his strength?

अरे परायी स्त्री के चोर, कुमार्ग पर चलने वाले, दुष्ट मैल के ढेर, मन्दबुद्धि कामी, तू सन्निपात में गाली बकता है। दुष्ट नरभक्षी, तू काल के वश हो गया है।
Hey, thief of another's wife, walker of bad roads, wicked heap of filth, evil-minded lecher, you babble abuse like a man in delirium. You have fallen under the power of Time, you wicked man-eater.

'हे दशकंध, वह मनुष्य कैसे है जिसने बालि को एक बाण से मारा? बीस आँखें हैं और अन्धा है। तेरे जन्म को धिक्कार है, मूर्ख, नीच जाति।'

'राम के बाण तेरे रक्त के प्यासे हैं। केवल उसी भय से मैं तुझे छोड़ता हूँ, कटु बोलने वाले अधम राक्षस।'
