Aṅgada, angry, tells him to speak carefully. Sahasrabāhu's arms were a dense forest and the axe that cut them was like fire; that axe was a sea with a sharp edge in which countless kings drowned. The one in whose sight that axe's pride fled, how can he be a mere man, unlucky ten-headed one? Is Kāma only an archer, the Gaṅgā only a river, the wish-cow only an animal, the wishing tree only a tree, giving grain only a gift, nectar only a drink? Garuḍa only a bird, Śeṣa only a serpent, the wishing jewel only a stone, Vaikuṇṭha only a world? Is unbroken devotion to Raghupati a mere gain?
