शिव की स्तुति

Śiva prays: protect me, leader of the Raghus, holding bow and arrow, the storm that scatters the thick clouds of delusion, the fire in the forest of doubt, delight of the gods. You are the lovely home of qualities and of no qualities, the sun of fierce glory for the darkness of error, the lion among the elephants of desire, anger and pride; live always in the forest of your servant's mind. You are the frost for the lotus-bed of sense desires, generous, beyond the mind; the mountain that churns the sea of life and the great dread; ward off and carry us over the hard-to-cross wheel of birth. With dark body and lotus eyes, friend of the humble, remover of the pain of those who take refuge, together with your brother and Jānakī, make your home always in my heart, King Rāma. Delight of sages, ornament of the earth, destroyer of terror, says Tulasīdāsa. 'Lord, when the crowning takes place in Kosala's city, I will come, ocean of mercy, to see the noble deeds.' शिव प्रार्थना करते हैं: हे रघुकुल के नायक, मेरी रक्षा कीजिए, आप सुंदर धनुष और हाथ में बाण धारण करते हैं। आप मोह के बड़े बादलों के समूह को उड़ा देने वाली आँधी, संशय के वन के लिए अग्नि और देवताओं को आनन्द देने वाले हैं। आप निर्गुण और सगुण गुणों के सुंदर घर हैं, भ्रम के अंधकार के लिए प्रबल प्रताप वाले सूर्य हैं; काम, क्रोध और मद रूपी हाथियों के लिए सिंह हैं, भक्तों के मन-रूपी वन में निरंतर निवास कीजिए। आप विषयों की कामना के समूह रूपी कमलवन के लिए प्रबल पाला हैं, उदार हैं, मन से परे हैं; संसार-सागर को मथने वाले मंदराचल हैं और भारी भय को दूर करते हैं; इस दुस्तर संसार से हमें रोकिए और पार कीजिए। श्याम शरीर और कमल जैसे नेत्रों वाले, दीनबंधु, शरणागत की पीड़ा छुड़ाने वाले, अनुज और जानकी सहित हे राजा राम, मेरे हृदय में निरंतर निवास कीजिए। मुनियों को आनन्द देने वाले, पृथ्वी के आभूषण, भय को नष्ट करने वाले, तुलसीदास कहते हैं। 'नाथ, जब कोसलपुरी में आपका तिलक होगा, तब हे कृपासिंधु, मैं आपकी उदार लीला देखने आऊँगा।'
