दक्ष-यज्ञ का विध्वंस और पार्वती-जन्म
Śiva hears all and sends Vīrabhadra in anger; he destroys the sacrifice and gives each god the fruit he deserves. Dakṣa's fate became known to the world, as always happens to one who turns against Śambhu. The poet says he tells the story briefly. At death Satī asked Hari for a boon, to love Śiva's feet in birth after birth. So she took birth in the house of Himālaya, as Pārvatī. From the time Umā entered the mountain's house, every success and wealth settled there. Sages built hermitages in many places, and Himālaya gave them proper dwellings. The mountain was full of flowers and fruit-bearing trees of many kinds, and jewel mines appeared.शिव को सब समाचार मिला तो उन्होंने क्रोध करके वीरभद्र को भेजा। वीरभद्र ने जाकर यज्ञ का विध्वंस किया और सब देवताओं को विधिपूर्वक उनके कर्म का फल दिया। शम्भु से विमुख होने वाले की जैसी गति होती है, वही दक्ष की हुई, जो जगत् में प्रसिद्ध है। यह इतिहास सब संसार जानता है, इसलिए कवि संक्षेप में कहता है। मरते समय सती ने हरि से वर माँगा कि जन्म-जन्म शिव के चरणों में अनुराग रहे। इसी कारण वे हिमालय के घर पार्वती के रूप में जन्मीं। जब से उमा पर्वत के घर आईं, वहाँ सब सिद्धियाँ और सम्पत्ति छा गईं। मुनियों ने जगह-जगह अपने आश्रम बनाए और हिमालय ने उन्हें उचित स्थान दिए। सुन्दर पर्वत पर सदा फूल-फल वाले नाना जाति के नए वृक्ष और बहुत प्रकार की मणियों की खानें प्रकट हुईं।

शंकर को सब समाचार मिला तो उन्होंने क्रोध करके वीरभद्र को भेजा। उसने जाकर यज्ञ का विध्वंस किया और सब देवताओं को विधि के अनुसार उनका फल दिया।
Śaṅkara got all the news and sent Vīrabhadra in anger. He went and destroyed the sacrifice, and gave all the gods the fruit due to them, as the rule of the rite requires.

२2भे जगबिदित दच्छ गति सोई। जसि कछु संभु बिमुख कै होई ॥यह इतिहास सकल जग जानी। ताते मैं संछेप बखानी ॥

दक्ष की गति जगत् में प्रसिद्ध हुई, जैसी शम्भु से विमुख होने वाले की होती है। यह इतिहास सारा संसार जानता है, इसलिए मैंने इसे संक्षेप में कहा।
Dakṣa's fate was known to the whole world, as always happens to one who turns away from Śambhu. This is an old story known everywhere, and so I have told it briefly.

मरते समय सती ने हरि से वर माँगा कि जन्म-जन्म शिव के चरणों में प्रेम रहे। इसी कारण वे हिमालय के घर जाकर पार्वती का शरीर पाकर जन्मीं।
As she died, Satī asked Hari for a boon: that in birth after birth she might love Śiva's feet. For that reason she went to the house of Himālaya and was born as Pārvatī, taking a body.

जब से उमा पर्वत के घर आईं, तब से वहाँ सब प्रकार की सिद्धियाँ और सम्पत्ति छा गईं। जहाँ-तहाँ मुनियों ने सुन्दर आश्रम बनाए और हिमालय ने उन्हें रहने के उचित स्थान दिए।
From the time Umā came to the house of the mountain, every success and every kind of wealth spread there. Here and there the sages made good hermitages, and Himālaya gave them fitting places to live.

दोहा ६५दोहा 65सदा सुमन फल सहित सब द्रुम नव नाना जाति।प्रगटीं सुंदर सैल पर मनि आकर बहु भाँति ॥ ६५ ॥
sadā sumana phala sahita saba druma nava nānā jāti |pragaṭīṃ suṃdara saila para mani ākara bahu bhām̐ti ||

उस सुन्दर पर्वत पर सब वृक्ष, नाना जाति के नए, सदा फूल-फल से लदे रहते थे, और बहुत प्रकार की मणियों की खानें प्रकट हो गईं।
On that lovely mountain all the trees, of many new kinds, were always in flower and fruit, and mines of jewels appeared in many forms.
