कीरति सरित छहूँ रितु
The river of fame has all six lovely seasons, each coming in its time, bringing a sweet cleaning. Winter is the cold of the Himalayan daughter's wedding with Śiva, and the winter's joy is the birthday of the Lord. The telling of Rāma's wedding is the king of seasons, full of joy and good. The unbearable heat is Rāma's going to the forest, the story of the road is the hot wind and sun. The rains are the fierce fight with the night-walkers, the good rice of the gods. The clean and pleasant autumn is the joy and humility of Rāma's rule. The qualities of Sītā, jewel of the faithful, are the pure and unmatched water; and Bharata's nature, ever one in taste, is its coolness that cannot be told. The dohā says: their looking, speaking, meeting, love, mutual laughter and the fine brotherhood of the four are the sweetness and scent of the water.कीर्ति की नदी में छहों सुन्दर ऋतुएँ अपने-अपने समय पर आती हैं, सुहावनी और अत्यन्त पवित्र। हिम (हेमन्त) पार्वती का शिव से विवाह है और शिशिर प्रभु के जन्म का सुखदायी उत्सव। राम के विवाह के समाज का वर्णन आनन्द-मंगलमय ऋतुराज वसन्त है। असह्य ग्रीष्म राम का वनगमन है और मार्ग की कथा तीखी धूप और लू। भयंकर वर्षा राक्षसों से युद्ध है, जो देव-कुल रूपी धान के लिए सुमंगलकारी है। रामराज्य का सुख, विनय और बड़ाई निर्मल और सुखद शरद ऋतु है। सतियों की शिरोमणि सीता के गुणों की गाथा वह निर्मल और अनुपम जल है; और भरत का स्वभाव, जो सदा एकरस है, उसकी शीतलता है जो कही नहीं जाती। दोहे में चारों भाइयों का देखना, बोलना, मिलना, परस्पर प्रीति और हँसी, और उनकी भलाई का भाईचारा जल की मधुरता और सुगन्ध है।

The fierce battle with the night-walkers is the rains, a good bringer of good to the family of the gods, who are the rice. The joy of Rāma's rule, with its humility and praise, is the clear and pleasant autumn.
