मंगल मूल लगन दिनु आवा
So the people go on making wishes, their hearts full of overflowing joy. The kings who had come to Sītā's swayamvara have seen the brothers, been happy, praised Rāma's wide fame and gone home. Some days pass this way, with the townsmen and the procession both happy. Then the day of the wedding, root of all good, arrives, in the lovely month of Agahan in winter. The planets, tithi, star, conjunction and weekday are all good, and the Creator himself works out the hour. It is sent to Nārada, and the astrologers of Janaka work out the same. Hearing it, all the people say the astrologers are the Creator himself. When the cow-dust hour comes, spotless and the root of all good, the Brahmins tell Janaka, seeing the omens are favourable.इस तरह सब मनोरथ करते हैं और उमड़-उमड़कर आनन्द हृदय में भरते हैं। जो राजा सीता के स्वयंवर में आए थे, वे चारों भाइयों को देखकर सुखी हुए। राम का निर्मल और विशाल यश कहते हुए वे अपने-अपने भवन चले गए। इस तरह कुछ दिन बीत गए, नगरवासी और बराती सब प्रसन्न हैं। फिर मंगल का मूल लग्न का दिन आया, हेमंत ऋतु और सुहावना अगहन मास। ग्रह, तिथि, नक्षत्र, योग और वार सब श्रेष्ठ थे; ब्रह्मा ने लग्न शोधकर विचार किया। उन्होंने वह लग्न-पत्र नारद के हाथ भेज दिया और जनक के ज्योतिषियों ने भी वही गणना की। यह बात सुनकर सब लोग कहने लगे कि ज्योतिषी तो साक्षात् ब्रह्मा हैं। गोधूलि का निर्मल, सब मंगलों का मूल समय आया तो ब्राह्मणों ने शुभ शकुन देखकर जनक से कहा।

इस प्रकार वे सब मनोरथ करते थे और उमड़-उमड़कर हृदय में आनन्द भरते थे। जो राजा सीता के स्वयंवर में आए थे, वे चारों भाइयों को देखकर प्रसन्न हुए।
In this way they made every kind of wish, and joy surged up and filled their hearts. The kings who had come for Sītā's swayamvara saw the brothers and were glad.

मंगल का मूल लग्न का दिन आया — हेमंत ऋतु और सुहावना अगहन मास। ग्रह, तिथि, नक्षत्र, योग और वार सब श्रेष्ठ थे; ब्रह्मा ने लग्न शोधकर विचार किया।
The day of the wedding, root of all good, arrived, in the lovely month of Agahan in the cold season. Planets, lunar day, star, conjunction and weekday were all fine, and the Creator worked out the hour.

४4पठै दीन्हि नारद सन सोई। गनी जनक के गनकन्ह जोई ॥सुनी सकल लोगन्ह यह बाता। कहहिं जोतिषी आहिं बिधाता ॥

ब्रह्मा ने वही लग्न नारद के हाथ भेज दिया, और जनक के ज्योतिषियों ने भी वही गणना की थी। यह बात सुनकर लोग कहने लगे कि ज्योतिषी तो साक्षात् ब्रह्मा हैं।
The Creator sent the same by Nārada, and Janaka's astrologers had worked out the same thing. When people heard this they said, 'Our astrologers are the Creator himself.'

दोहा ३१२दोहा 312धेनुधूरि बेला बिमल सकल सुमंगल मूल।बिप्रन्ह कहेउ बिदेह सन जानि सगुन अनुकुल ॥ ३१२ ॥
