Love's flowery bow and arrows brought all the worlds under his sway, the friend says; so the queen should set aside doubt, for Rāma will break the bow. Hearing her, the queen was reassured, grief ended and love grew. Then Sītā looked at Rāma and anxiously prayed to every god. In her heart she begged Maheśa and Bhavānī to be pleased, make her service fruitful and lighten the bow out of kindness. She also prayed to Gaṇeśa, giver of boons, saying she had served him until today, and asked him again and again to hear her prayer and make the bow's weight very little.
