चकित चितव सबु कोऊ
The brothers wear quivers at the waist and yellow cloth, with arrows in hand and bow on the left shoulder. Seeing them, all the people were happy and their eyes did not blink. Janaka was glad and held the sage's lotus feet, told him of the arrangements and showed him the whole arena. Wherever the two princes went, everyone looked at them in wonder. Each saw Rāma turned toward himself, but no one knew the secret. The king seated the two brothers with the sage on one lovely, spacious platform.दोनों भाइयों की कमर में तरकश है, पीला वस्त्र बँधा है, हाथ में बाण और बाएँ कंधे पर धनुष है। उन्हें देखकर सब लोग सुखी हुए, आँखें एकटक रहीं, पुतलियाँ हिलती नहीं थीं। जनक प्रसन्न हुए और मुनि के चरण-कमल पकड़े, विनती करके अपनी बात सुनाई और पूरी रंगभूमि मुनि को दिखाई। दोनों कुमार जहाँ-जहाँ जाते, सब लोग वहाँ-वहाँ चकित होकर देखते। सबने राम को अपनी ओर मुख किए देखा, पर कोई इसका विशेष भेद नहीं जान सका। राजा ने दोनों भाइयों को मुनि समेत एक सुंदर विशाल मंच पर बैठाया।

कमर में तरकश है, पीला वस्त्र बँधा है, हाथ में बाण और बाएँ कंधे पर सुंदर धनुष है। पीले यज्ञोपवीत सुहा रहे हैं; नख से शिख तक वे बड़ी सुंदर छबि से छाए हुए हैं।
A quiver at the waist, yellow cloth tied on, an arrow in the hand and a fine bow on the left shoulder. Their yellow sacred threads shone; from head to foot they were filled with great loveliness.

२2देखि लोग सब भए सुखारे। एकटक लोचन चलत न तारे ॥हरषे जनकु देखि दोउ भाई। मुनि पद कमल गहे तब जाई ॥

उन्हें देखकर सब लोग सुखी हो गए; आँखें एकटक थीं, पुतलियाँ हिलती नहीं थीं। दोनों भाइयों को देखकर जनक प्रसन्न हुए और जाकर मुनि के चरण-कमल पकड़ लिए।
Seeing them, all the people were happy; their eyes were fixed and the pupils did not move. Janaka was glad to see the two brothers and went and held the sage's lotus feet.

विनती करके उन्होंने अपनी बात सुनाई और मुनि को पूरी रंगभूमि दिखाई। दोनों राजकुमार जहाँ-जहाँ जाते, वहाँ-वहाँ सब कोई चकित होकर देखता।
With a humble request he told his own account and showed the sage the whole arena. Wherever the two princes went, everyone looked at them there in wonder.

४4निज निज रुख रामहि सबु देखा। कोउ न जान कछु मरमु बिसेषा ॥भलि रचना मुनि नृप सन कहेऊ। राजाँ मुदित महासुख लहेऊ ॥

सबने राम को अपनी-अपनी ओर मुख किए देखा; कोई इसका विशेष भेद नहीं जान सका। मुनि ने राजा से कहा कि रचना अच्छी बनी है, और राजा प्रसन्न होकर बहुत सुखी हुए।
Everyone saw Rāma facing his own side; no one knew any special secret. The sage told the king that the arrangements were good, and the king was glad and found great joy.

दोहा २४४दोहा 244सब मंचन्ह ते मंचु एक सुंदर बिसद बिसाल।मुनि समेत दोउ बंधु तहँ बैठारे महिपाल ॥ २४४ ॥

सब मंचों में एक मंच सुंदर, उजला और विशाल था। राजा ने मुनि समेत दोनों भाइयों को वहाँ बैठाया।
Of all the platforms, one was lovely, bright and spacious. The king seated the two brothers there with the sage.
