Chapter 241·Each sees Rāma as he is in himself·Verses 1–
The two princes come into the arena, as if beauty itself had spread over their bodies. They shine among the kings like two full moons among the stars. Each one sees the Lord's form according to his own feeling: warriors see heroism, wicked kings see terror, the demons in disguise see Death. The townspeople see two jewels of mankind who give joy to the eyes, and the women look with delight, each in her own way.

At that moment the princes came, as if loveliness itself had spread over their bodies. Oceans of virtue, clever and fine heroes, handsome, one dark in body and one fair.

Great warriors saw his form as if heroism itself had taken a body. The wicked kings were frightened to see the Lord, as if he were a huge, terrible form.

The demons who were there in the disguise of kings saw the Lord openly as Death itself. The townspeople saw the two brothers, jewels of men, a joy to the eyes.

Women looked with joy in their hearts, each according to her own liking, as if the sentiment of love had put on the supremely matchless form and shone.

The point of this passage is that one and the same Rāma appears differently to each beholder.
