Chapter 207 · The sage asks for Rāma · Verses 1–

The king hears that the sage has come and goes to meet him with brahmins. He bows, honours him and seats him on his own seat, washes his feet and worships him, saying no one is as blessed as he. He has many foods served. Then he lays his four sons at the sage's feet, and Viśvāmitra, seeing Rāma, forgets his body and gazes at his face like a chakora bird at the full moon. Glad, the king asks why the sage has come and promises to do it without delay. The sage says demons torment him and asks for Rāma and his brother, so that the demons may be killed, and tells the king to give them gladly and put aside delusion.
