सीता राम पद
The poet bows to the lovely feet of the monkey lord, the bear king, the king of the night-walkers, Aṅgada and all the monkey host, who got a low body but won Rāma. He bows to the feet of all who worship Raghupati, birds, beasts, gods, men and demons alike, who serve Rāma without any desire. Then to Śuka, Sanaka and the others, the devotees, the sage Nārada and the best of sages skilled in wisdom: he bows to all with his head to the ground, and asks the lords of sages to be kind to him as a servant. He asks for the grace of Janaka's daughter Jānakī, mother of the world and dearest to the ocean of mercy, to win a clean mind. In thought, word and deed he bows to the lotus feet of Rāma, the lotus-eyed with bow and arrow, who breaks the trouble of his devotees and gives them joy.
