Then Manu pressed the kingdom on his son, and he and his wife went to the forest. The famous holy place Naimiṣa is very pure and gives success to seekers. Many sages and perfected ones live there, and King Manu set out gladly. On the way the steady-minded pair looked as if wisdom and devotion had taken bodies. They reached the bank of the Dhenumatī and bathed gladly in the clear water. The wise perfected sages came to meet them, knowing him as a royal sage, a leader in dharma. The sages had all the lovely holy places seen by them with respect. With thin bodies and sages' cloth they lived and daily heard the Purāṇas in the company of the good.
