Chapter 128·Nārada before the Lord·Verses 1–
Whatever Rāma wishes, that happens; no one can do otherwise. Nārada did not like Śiva's words and went to Brahmā's world. Once, with a lovely vīṇā in his hands, singing Hari's praises with skill, the lord of sages went to the Milk Ocean, where Śrīnivasa, the head of the Vedas, lives. Hari rose gladly, met him and sat with the sage on a seat. The Lord of all that moves and stays smiled and said, 'You have been kind to come after so long.' Though Śiva had first held him back, Nārada told the whole tale of Kāma. Raghupati's illusion is most fierce; who in the world has not been deluded by it? With a stern face and in soft words the Lord said, 'By remembering you, delusion, desire, pride and conceit are all removed.'

What Rāma wants is what happens; no one can do otherwise. Śiva's words did not please the sage, and he went to Brahmā's world.
