Chapter 112·Śiva praises Pārvatī and Rāma·Verses 1–
Without knowing Him the false seems true, as a snake is seen in a rope; knowing Him, the world vanishes, as a dream does on waking. Śiva bows to Rāma in his child form, whose name brings every success, and who plays in Daśaratha's courtyard. Then he tells Pārvatī she is blessed: there is no one so kind as she. Her question about Raghupati's story, which is like the Gaṅgā purifying all the worlds, is for the good of the world. By Rāma's grace there is no grief, delusion or doubt in her mind, nor in his.

Without knowing Him the false seems true, as a snake is seen in an unrecognised rope. By knowing Him the world vanishes, as the confusion of a dream goes when one wakes.

I bow to that same Rāma in his child form, whose name chanted makes all success easy. May he, the home of good and remover of ill, who plays in Daśaratha's courtyard, be gracious.

Bowing to Rāma, the destroyer of Tripura spoke words like nectar with joy: 'Blessed, blessed are you, daughter of the mountain; there is no one so kind as you.

You asked about the story of Raghupati, which is like the Gaṅgā, purifying all the worlds. You love the feet of Raghubīra, and you asked this for the good of the world.

By Rāma's grace, Pārvatī, not even in dreams are there grief, delusion, doubt or confusion in your mind; and in my view there is none.'
