Chapter 65·"With you, a hut is heaven"·Verses 1–
Mother, father, sister, dear brother, family, friends, mother-in-law, father-in-law, guru, kin and helpers, handsome and gentle sons, giving joy: for a wife, wherever there is love and kinship, without her husband it is hotter than the sun. Body, wealth, home, land, city and kingdom are, without a husband, only a heap of sorrow. Pleasures are like disease, ornaments a burden, and the world like Yama's tortures. Lord of my life, nowhere in the world is anything pleasant for me without you. As a body without life, a river without water, so a woman is without her man. Lord, with you I have every comfort, gazing at your face like the clear autumn moon. Birds, deer, kin, the town, the forest, bark clothes like fine silk: with you, Lord, a leaf hut is like the home of the gods and the root of joy.

Lord, as far as love and kinship go, without her husband they are hotter than the sun to a wife. Body, wealth, home, land, city and kingdom: without a husband they are only a crowd of sorrows.

Pleasure is like disease, ornaments a burden, and the world like the torments of Yama. Lord of my life, without you nothing in the world gives me joy anywhere.
