The king said: Bharata would never want the throne, even in a dream. It is my own sin that has come upon me, and fate, set against me, has put the evil thought in your heart. Ayodhyā will again be well governed. Rāma has all virtues and power; his brothers will serve him, and Rāma will be praised in all three worlds. But your stain and my regret will not be wiped out even by death. Now do what you like; go out of my sight, hide your face. As long as I live, I beg you with folded hands, say nothing more to me. You will regret it in the end, luckless one, killing the cow for the sake of her sinews. The king lay on the earth, calling on God in crores of ways: why do you make an end? The clever, deceitful woman said nothing, as if she were awake at a cremation ground.

The king lay on the ground, saying in crores of ways, 'Why do you make an end?' The clever, deceitful woman said nothing, as if she were keeping watch at a cremation ground.
Explanation
