Getting Atri's order, Bharata has all the water vessels sent on. With his younger brother, the sage Atri and the holy men he goes to the deep well. He places the pure water in the holy spot, and Atri, glad with love, tells him it is an ancient perfected place, hidden by time and known to no one. The servants then see the moist ground and make a special well for sweet water. Fate brought about a benefit for the whole world, and the way of dharma here is both easy and deep. Atri says the people will now call it Bharatakūpa, a very sacred tīrtha suited to its waters, and whoever bathes in it with love and discipline will become pure in deed, mind and word.
