Hearing Rāma's words, the whole assembly feels as if mixed with nectar from a sea of love. Slack in the trance of love, the company is silent, and Sarasvatī, seeing the state, keeps still. Bharata feels deep contentment; with the master facing him, sorrow and fault turn away. His face glad, his grief gone, it is as if a mute were given speech. He bows again with love and speaks with folded hands. He says it was a joy to go with Rāma, and asks who has gained the fruit of birth as he has. He asks Rāma to give him a support by serving which he may reach the far shore of the term. Then he says that for the coronation, with the guru's leave, he brought water from all the holy places, and asks what Rāma commands about it. रघुवर की बातें सुनकर सारी सभा मानो प्रेम के सागर में अमृत मिलाए हुए-सी हो गई। समाज स्नेह की समाधि में शिथिल था; यह दशा देखकर सरस्वती चुप रह गईं। भरत को परम सन्तोष हुआ; स्वामी सामने है तो दुख और दोष विमुख हो गए। मुख प्रसन्न हुआ और मन का विषाद मिट गया, मानो गूँगे को वाणी का प्रसाद मिल गया हो। फिर प्रेम से प्रणाम किया और दोनों कमल-हाथ जोड़कर बोले: नाथ, आपके साथ आने से सुख हुआ; जगत में जन्म लेकर किसने लाभ पाया है? अब, कृपालु, जैसी आज्ञा हो मैं सिर पर रखकर आदर से करूँगा। देव, मुझे वह सहारा दीजिए जिसकी सेवा करके मैं अवधि पार कर सकूँ। देव, अभिषेक के लिए गुरु की आज्ञा पाकर मैं सब तीर्थों का जल ले आया हूँ; उसके लिए क्या आज्ञा है?
