Sītā meets her dear ones, each as is fitting, and all are deeply grieved to see her in an ascetic's dress. With Rāma's and the guru's leave, Janaka goes to her lodging and sees her. He holds her to his heart, a guest of pure love, dear as life. An ocean of love rises in his heart and his mind becomes like Prayāga. Sītā's love is a banyan tree seen growing, and on it Rāma's love shines like a child. It is as if the long-lived sage, shaken in his knowledge and drowning, caught hold of a child to cling to. Videha's mind is not lost in delusion: this is the greatness of the love of Sītā and Raghubar.
