The gods and their king fear that their work is about to be ruined. No plan works, and in their hearts they all go to Rāma for refuge. They think of Ambarīṣa and Durvāsā, and are in despair. They recall how the gods suffered long until Narasiṁha came for Prahlāda, and they whisper to each other that now their work is in Bharata's hands. There is no other way, because Rāma honors good service by his servants.
