भरत दरसु देखत खुलेउ मग लोगन्ह कर भागु
Bharata's brotherly love, devotion and conduct take away sorrow and fault in the telling and hearing. Whatever is said of him is little, friend, since he is Rāma's brother. By seeing Bharata with his brother, the women count themselves blessed. Hearing his virtues and seeing his state, they feel remorse that Kaikeyī was not fit to be his mother. Another says the queen is not at fault; fate did it all, and was kind to them. They are poor in rite and Veda, low women of stained family, living in a bad country and village. Yet this sight is the fruit of merit. In every village such joy and wonder, as if a wishing tree had sprung in a desert. Seeing Bharata, the good fortune of the people on the road opened, as if Prayāga had become easy for the people of Siṃhala by fate.भरत का भाईपन, भक्ति और आचरण कहने-सुनने पर दुःख और दोषों को हर लेता है। सखी, जो कुछ कहा जाए वह थोड़ा है; राम के भाई ऐसे क्यों न हों? हम सब स्त्रियाँ छोटे भाई सहित भरत को देखकर धन्य हो गईं। उनके गुण सुनकर और दशा देखकर वे पछताती हैं कि कैकेयी माता उनके योग्य नहीं थीं। कोई कहती है कि रानी का दोष नहीं; विधाता ने सब कुछ किया जो हमारे लिए अनुकूल हुआ। कहाँ हम लोक, वेद और विधि से हीन, छोटी स्त्रियाँ और मलिन कुल-कर्म वाली, कुदेश, कुगाँव में रहने वाली, और कहाँ यह दर्शन जो पुण्य का परिणाम है। हर गाँव में ऐसा आनन्द और आश्चर्य है मानो मरुभूमि में कल्पवृक्ष उग आया हो। भरत का दर्शन देखकर मार्ग के लोगों का भाग्य खुल गया, मानो सिंहलवासियों को विधि के वश प्रयाग सुलभ हो गया हो।

छोटे भाई सहित भरत को देखकर हम सब स्त्रियों में धन्य गिनी गईं। उनके गुण सुनकर और दशा देखकर वे पछताती हैं कि कैकेयी ऐसे पुत्र के योग्य माता नहीं थीं।
By seeing Bharata with his younger brother, all of us are counted blessed among women. Hearing his virtues and seeing his state, they feel remorse: Kaikeyī was not a mother fit for such a son.

३3कोउ कह दूषनु रानिहि नाहिन। बिधि सबु कीन्ह हमहि जो दाहिन ॥कहँ हम लोक बेद बिधि हीनी। लघु तिय कुल करतूति मलीनी ॥
