Bṛhaspati says that Rāma keeps his word and does good to the gods, and Bharata follows Rāma's command; Indra is troubled only through his own selfishness, and the fault is not Bharata's but Indra's delusion. Hearing this, Indra is glad and his remorse is gone. He rains flowers and begins praising Bharata's nature. So Bharata walks on, and sages and siddhas envy his state. Each time he says 'Rāma' and sighs, love overflows on all sides. Even thunderbolts and stones melt at his words, and the townsfolk's love cannot be told. Halting midway, they come to the Yamunā, and seeing the water, their eyes fill with tears. Seeing the Yamunā's lovely colour like Rāma's, the company is plunged into an ocean of separation, though discernment boards as a ship.बृहस्पति कहते हैं कि प्रभु सत्य-प्रतिज्ञ और देवताओं का हित करने वाले हैं, और भरत राम की आज्ञा के अनुसार चलते हैं; तुम स्वार्थ के वश व्याकुल हो रहे हो, भरत का दोष नहीं, तुम्हारा मोह है। देवगुरु की यह श्रेष्ठ वाणी सुनकर देवराज के मन में आनन्द हुआ और ग्लानि मिट गई। इन्द्र फूल बरसाकर हर्षित हुआ और भरत के स्वभाव की सराहना करने लगा। इस प्रकार भरत मार्ग में चले जा रहे हैं, उनकी दशा देखकर मुनि और सिद्ध भी ललचाते हैं। जब वे 'राम' कहकर आह भरते हैं, तब चारों ओर प्रेम उमड़ पड़ता है। उनके वचन सुनकर वज्र और पत्थर भी पिघल जाते हैं, और पुरवासियों का प्रेम बखाना नहीं जाता। बीच में निवास कर वे यमुना पर आए, और जल देखकर आँखों में आँसू भर आए। रघुवर के रंग जैसा सुन्दर जल देखकर समाज सहित भरत विरह के सागर में मग्न हो जाते हैं, पर विवेक का जहाज चढ़ आता है।

'प्रभु सत्य-प्रतिज्ञ और देवताओं का हित करने वाले हैं, और भरत राम की आज्ञा के अनुसार चलते हैं। तुम स्वार्थ के वश व्याकुल हो रहे हो; दोष भरत का नहीं, तुम्हारा मोह है।'

देवगुरु की श्रेष्ठ वाणी सुनकर देवराज के मन में आनन्द हुआ और ग्लानि मिट गई। प्रसन्न होकर उसने फूल बरसाए और भरत के स्वभाव की सराहना करने लगा।
Hearing the good words of the teacher of the gods, Indra felt joy in his mind and his remorse was gone. He rained flowers, glad, and began to praise Bharata's nature.

३3एहि बिधि भरत चले मग जाहीं। दसा देखि मुनि सिद्ध सिहाहीं ॥जबहिं रामु कहि लेहिं उसासा। उमगत पेमु मनहँ चहु पासा ॥

इस प्रकार भरत मार्ग में चले जा रहे थे और उनकी दशा देखकर मुनि और सिद्ध ललचाते थे। जब वे 'राम' कहकर आह भरते, तब चारों ओर प्रेम उमड़ पड़ता।
