पहुनाई

Hearing the sage, Bharata is troubled; it is a bad time for a hard request of shyness. Knowing the teacher's words are weighty, he bows at his feet and says he takes the command on his head; this is his highest duty. The sage is pleased and calls his pure servants and students near, and tells them to honour Bharata and bring roots and fruits. They bow and go off glad. The sage worries: the guest is great, the invitation is large, and the worship must match what is fit for gods. Hearing this, Riddhi, Siddhi, Animā and the other powers come and ask what to do. The sage-king tells them, as Bharata and his younger brother and all the company are troubled in separation from Rāma, to entertain them and take away their weariness. मुनि के वचन सुनकर भरत के हृदय में सोच हुआ; असमय में कठिन संकोच आ पड़ा। गुरु की बात भारी जानकर उन्होंने चरणों की वन्दना कर हाथ जोड़कर कहा कि आपकी आज्ञा सिर पर रखकर करूँगा, नाथ, यही हमारा परम धर्म है। भरत के वचन मुनि के मन को भाए, और उन्होंने पवित्र सेवकों और शिष्यों को पास बुलाया। कहा कि भरत की पहुनाई करनी चाहिए, कन्द-मूल-फल ले आओ। वे 'अच्छा नाथ' कहकर सिर झुकाकर प्रसन्न होकर अपने-अपने काम पर चले गए। मुनि को चिन्ता हुई कि मेहमान बड़ा है, न्योता भी बड़ा है, और पूजा वैसी होनी चाहिए जैसी देवता की होती है। यह सुनकर ऋद्धि, सिद्धि और अणिमा आदि आईं और बोलीं कि गोसाईं, जो आज्ञा हो वह हम करें। मुनिराज ने प्रसन्न होकर कहा कि राम के विरह में व्याकुल भरत सब समाज और भाई सहित हैं, इनकी पहुनाई करके इनका श्रम हर लो।
