Chapter 152·The rest of Rāma's message·Verses 1–
Sumantra goes on giving Rāma's words. Rāma asks him to plead with all the townspeople and household for him: whatever keeps the king happy is his well-wisher. When Bharata comes, say that on gaining the throne he must not leave right conduct, must look after the people in deed, mind and word, and must treat all the mothers alike. He asks Bharata to keep to brotherhood to the end, serve father and mothers and good people, and keep the king so that he never grieves for Rāma. Lakṣmaṇa spoke some harsh words; Rāma stopped him and then begged Sumantra, swearing by himself, not to tell of Lakṣmaṇa's youthful words. Sītā bowed and began to speak, but love made her weak. Her speech stopped, her eyes filled and her body bristled with joy of love.

Sītā bowed and began to say something, but she grew weak with love. Her speech failed, her eyes filled with tears, and her body thrilled and sprouted like new leaves.
