Chapter 128·Hearts where Rāma may dwell: ear, eye, tongue·Verses 1–
Hearing the sage's words, soaked in love, Rāma was shy and smiled inwardly. Vālmīki laughed and spoke again, sweet as nectar: Listen, Rāma, now I will tell you the dwelling where you may live with Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa. Those whose ears are like the sea, into which your lovely tales flow as many rivers; they fill continually and are never full: in their hearts, your lovely houses. Those who have made their eyes like the chātaka bird, living for the sight of the cloud, who despise rivers, seas and lakes and are glad with a drop of water of your beauty, their hearts are good dwellings; live there, with your brother and Sītā. The dohā: whose tongue is a swan, and your fame the pure Mānasa lake, picking pearls of virtues; Rāma, live in his heart.
