Chapter 109·The way to the Yamunā·Verses 1–
Rāma asked the sage lovingly which road to take. The sage smiled and said, all roads are easy for you. He called his students to go with them and fifty came, glad. All had boundless love for Rāma and each said, I have seen the road. The sage then gave four students, who had done much good in many lives. Bowing, and taking the sage's leave, Rāma set out, glad at heart. When they passed near a village, men and women ran to see; they were blessed by the sight and came back sad, having sent their minds with him. The dohā: Rāma sent back the students with kind words and they returned glad; then he went down to bathe in the Yamunā, whose water is dark like his body.
