निज पद सरसिज सहज सनेहू
Bharadvāja asked after their welfare, gave them seats, worshipped them and filled them with love. He brought fine roots, fruits and shoots, like the nectar of the gods. Sītā, Lakṣmaṇa and the party ate them with delight, and Rāma was especially pleased. Rested and glad, Rāma heard Bharadvāja speak softly. Today my penance, pilgrimage and renunciation are fruitful; today my prayer, yoga and detachment bear fruit; all good practices are fulfilled, for I see you, Rāma, today. This is the height of gain and joy; at your sight all my hope is fulfilled. Now be kind and give me this boon: natural love for your lotus feet. जब तक कर्म, वचन और मन से छल छोड़कर कोई आपका दास नहीं हो जाता, तब तक करोड़ों उपाय करने पर भी उसे सपने में भी सुख नहीं मिलता।'
